Can somebody give me some information about the so-called Extreme H2O contact lenses? I read about them on another site and I'm curious. What company makes them? Why are they called "Extreme H2O" and why did I read about the person who tried them and found that their eyes were getting "extremely" dry? IS it true that they're so thin that they rip easily when they're being cleaned?
I don't mean to sound critical, I just want to find out how good these contacts really are. |

These are interesting little contact lenses, it turns out. I don't really know what company makes the Extreme H2O contacts, only that the web site is claimed by "Hydrogel Vision Corporation."
These contacts' claim to fame is that the material that they are made of attracts water molecules better than most. Not only that, but it does not attract and hold protein very well, so those nasty protein deposits are less of a problem with Extreme H2O. The site says that all contacts begin to dry out when they're being worn. Supposedly the Extreme H2O's will take longer to dry out, and perhaps some peoples' eyes are drier than others. As for as their ease of handling, I've never tried them personally, but maybe someone who has will post here. Anyone? |
