Default Headaches With Monovision

Here's another monovision question for the forum.
Monovision, of course, is when there is one contact lens for seeing close up in one eye, and in the other eye is a contact lens for seeing far away. My question is, what happens of you get mixed up and put the contacts in the wrong eyes? Will it make a difference because your eyes can adjust, or will it cause problems?
