Default Ultraviolet Coating for Contact Lenses

I read about a woman who has what she calls an "ultraviolet coating" on her glasses which she says "protect her eyes from [computer] screens."

Two questions. 1. Do you need a "protective ultraviolet coating" when you're looking at computer screens, and 2. can you get this coating with contact lenses?

I wasn't aware that UV rays were an issue with computer usage, unless the sun was being reflected from the screen directly into the eye.

Maybe she meant there was a glare canceling coating.

If it is not available in contacts that would be a great idea for them to look into.

Also, I too have not heard about needing UV protection for a computer screen. I know they have those available in glasses when you go outside they darken and inside they again become clear.
