According to what I read about the history of contact lenses, the first mass-produced glass contact lenses were used in World War II in Germany.
You guessed it--the first contact lens wearers were Nazi soldiers who were not allowed to wear glasses. Master race and all that. Is this a true account of contact lens history, or something for the Myth Busters? |
