Default New Box blurry

This seems to happen about every 4th order for contacts. Always the right side, which is for astigmatism ( Proclear toric BC 8.8, Dia 14.4, Pwr -0.25/-0.75*180 ) I have an old contact from last order, put it in, vision is fine. Noticed that with new contact, I can see sharp up close, but kind of blurry at any distance beyond 5 feet. Old contact oposite, blurry close up, had to use reading glasses, but could see perfect beyond 5 feet. Usually I send the box back for a new one and it fixes the problem. Not this time. Got the new box, same problem. Just tried the airoptix for astigmatism, kind of the same problem but not as bad. The night vision is not as good with these lens though. Would like to get my proclears to work. Any experts out there had any experience with this??? Thanks

I'm no expert, but have had much the same experience with mine as you are having...I thought I was going nuts. I haven't sent any back, but mine are not consistent from box to box, that's for sure. I just changed mine out again and the right one (multi focal toric) is so floppy that I can barely get it in my eye. The last three weren't like that. I'm so confused. I hope someone who understands how these things are manufactured chimes in here with some ideas to enlighten us. The ones that the optometrist ordered don't seem to be the same as my trials, either. The prescription is the same, but I can't see up close as well. Sigh.

That's unfortunate. I assume that you've followed up on this with your optometrist, unless you're getting some by mail order?

I wonder how many lots of lenses get to the consumer that aren't exactly right?
