Normally eye exams and contact lens checks are 2 separate things, for a normal eye exam I wear my glasses but have one or two contact lens checks every year where they check that the lens is still sitting and moving correctly on your eye, that you are not wearing for them too long which could be bad for your eye etc, as well as checking that they are still the right prescription
