Default Inversion marks on PureVision Multi-Focal?

Are there inversion marks on PureVision Multi-Focal lenses? I don't know how to tell if my lenses are inside out. I can't tell by looking at the shape.

Hi jannotti, thanks for your question.

I don't wear PureVision Multi-Focal myself, so I did some surfing and found a site that described these contacts:

"6 contact lenses per box.
H2O Content: 36%
Material: balafilcon A (silicone hydrogel)
Diameter: 14.00
Curve: 8.6
Visibility Tint: Light blue
Inversion Indicator: Yes (B&L)"

So does it have an indicator? Yes. What does it look like? I don't know. Perhaps it's the letters "B&L."

That's probably not the answer you're looking for, but I hope it at least helps.

Thank you Sandi. When I called Baucsh & Lomb customer service, they gave me the incorrect information. There is a B&L inversion mark on PureVision MultiFocals but you need a strong magnifying glass to see it...or binoculars...maybe a telescope or a seeing eye dog could locate the mark.

You should be able to tell by looking at the shape. Put the contact on the end of your finger to observe it. Nice and round is what you want, if it has flared ends then it is inverted.

Default fold it

I was told that when it is right you can fold it and it will stay. If it is inverted, it won't stay folded; it will spring open again.

Mine are too floppy to spring into correct shape. I do the taco test if I'm not sure by looking at the shape. Some lenses I can easily see that weird shape, but then the next one (I use monthlies) will be hard to see. The taco test never lets me down.
