Default Your First Time Wearing PureVision Multi-Focals

When you tried PureVision Multi-Focal contacts for the first time, was it a little weird walking around at first?
Second question - do you wear them all the time or just when you feel like doing a long stretch of reading? Are they hard to get used to?

I have been wearing them for about a week and I really like them. I was surprise how clear they are. This is my first experience with contact lens.

I'm glad you like them. Does the multi-focal part seem weird to you at all? How many hours a day do you wear them?

Once they are in about minute I do not know they are even there. I wear them about 14 hours each day. They give me about 75-80% of what I see with my glasses. If I sit about 18 inches from my computer there is no problem. Reading small print I have to get the right adjustment with my hand to focus. I can read a menus. Where they are superb is from 18 inches to about 15 feet, it is crystal clear...better than bifocal glasses. Driving is okay because you can see everything inside the car...not that great beyond about 200 yards, don't get me wrong you can see but not as good as I can see with my glasses.

Whether you can read well with them or not depends on what Add you have with the prescription. You can only get Add Low Or Add High. Add High allows you read better than with Add Low, but you lose some of the distance.

Hey, that's a great post tippersteffi1. Thank you for getting so detailed. I've never worn multifocal contacts before, but now I almost feel like I have.

Great job. Now go and see if you can continue your good works in the sunglasses and eyeglasses sections here in Lens 101.
