I read how Pure Vision toric contact lenses have lot numbers printed on them that can be used to tell if the contact lens is "inverted" or "inside out." How do they work? How can you use these printed numbers to tell if the contacts are inside out?

Thank you mamcita.

How do you know which is which? Should you be able to read the text on the outside or inside curvature?

I'm going to guess it's the inside of the lens, because if the lens is on your finger, you'd be looking down at the inside, right? |

I didn't find anything that indicated whether the inversion mark was on the indie of outside of the lens, so we may have to rely on people who actually wear contact lenses with the inversion mark to answer this burning question for us. |

So guys, did any of you see a belly button in the above pictures? |

The inversion mark is an "outie." This means that when you are looking down into the inside of the lens (at the surface that contacts your eye), the numbers should appear backwards. I just got a trial pair, and that's how I'm able to confirm this. (My contacts have the numbers 3 and 7 on them.)
On a separate note, I'm not the biggest fan of these lenses. Although the fit is more comfortable than my old Acuvue lenses, my vision is very blurry close-up (like within 2 feet). I don't think it's an issue with the prescription because it is the same as the one I had before. Meh. ![]() |

You must have been really shook up by that picture, Hottchick. "indie of outside"? Don't you mean "inside or outside"?

You're right, Cheezhed. Now let's get back to the original question. Who can tell us about the inversion mark on PureVision Toric lenses?
