Thumbs up Purevision Toric Reviews

I'd like some people who have tried Purevision Toric lenses to sign on and tell us what you think. Do you like these contacts? Have you told any of your friends to try them? What are your most and least favorite things about them?

I'm going to stop now before I sound any more like those people in the mall with the clip boards.

Hi, John. I've been wearing the Soflens66 Torics for a few years now and have been so impressed by their comfort and clarity that I wasn't in too much of a hurry to try the PureVision Torics, but I got a trial pair from my doc last week.

They feel a little bit thicker than the SofLens, but they are just as comfortable. After only a minute of wear, it's like they melt into my eyes. As far as stability goes, they are excellent. I blinked very hard a few times on purpose and the lenses quickly re-aligned. I'm not sure how long you've been wearing torics, but if you remember the older torics, it was almost like you had to "dial for vision" with your finger if they slipped off.

PureVision is designed as a monthly lens whereas Soflens is a two-week replacement lens. PureVision is also a bit more expensive than Soflens. I would recommend either lens to anyone, but I have to admit that I find my vision is sharper with the PureVision. Hope this helps, good luck!

That's a great review, Shadow. I like nice, detailed review from personal experience. I've never heard of that "dial for vision" thing, though. I guess I always though they would straighten out on their own eventually. Thanks for your help. I hope you keep helping all the people on Lens 101 like this
