I did scratch my eye once, but it wasn't because of the contact, I accidentally did it with my fingernail, don't ask?? LOL. I made an appointment with my eye doctor and he recommended not to wear my contacts until my eye healed. He gave me this anitibacterial get to put in my eye for about a week. I wore my glasses, and it healed in about a week and returned to wear my contacts.

yes, my eye is fine now. What my eye doctor told me is that the main thing to remember is if you think you injured your eye at all, even if it doesn't cause that much pain, to go see your doctor because ingoring it could make it a lot worse. Minor injuries always seem to get worse without proper care.

That's probably some good advice, dboo. Thanks for sharing your story.

I slept with them, and they irritated my eye so much that that I kept rubbing it rather than remove the lens. I did find them comfortable lens before that incident. I was wearing them for the mutli focal, which is poor, but never tried the regular lenses.

Sorry to read about that mgash. That sounds painful. Do you still wear PureVision contact lenses?

Not since. I might wear them in the future, but not multifocus. I am not sure that I want to wear a 30 day lens. My preference has been daily lens from a Scottish company called Daysoft (www.daysoftlenses.com)

Daysoft. I've heard of them. How about the sponsor, Lens.com? Have you ever tried them?

No I'm sure they haven't. If they have, they can't comment on them, since they are not available for sale in the US. US citizens can buy them and have them sent to the US, but they're not FDA approved. They do meet many other international standards, and are safe, but just can be sold in the US.

I asked my doc about them after using them a while, and she said they're ok for me at least.

I think you misunderstood my question, mgash. It's okay, it's hard to make things clear on a message board like this sometimes.

Anyway, I was wanting to know if you have ever tried ordering contact lenses from Lens.com. If you have, would you recommend them to others?

So there are no factories making these contacts that are physically located in the United States. So if I live in the States and want to buy some Daysoft lenses, I have to find a factory located outside the United States and order them from there? Import them, in other words?

Not exactly import them, just order them. Please check out this website
https://www.daysotlenes.com They sell two lenses UV72 and UV58 they will advise which to order based on your preent prescription. The number is the percen of water. The UV72 also have a hight Dk(fatt) of 38, whch is more than Ciba Fous Dailies. Price is $7.99 for 32 lenses ie: $15.98 per month whether you order one or more months. Price is post paid to your door in about ten days. Regretably they only sell sphere lenses.

Look at these technical contact lens terms like Dk and fatt you're casually tossing about. Are you an eye care professional, mgash? What do you think of Lens 101?

No I am not an eye professionl "ECP", But I have read a lot. I am a driving instructor. In case you are not, buzzwods like Dk and Fatt measure the amount of oxygen a lens passes to your eye.

Hello Laranjeira69 and welcome to the forum. Sorry to 'hear' about your eye problem.

I think you need to have your eye checked out by an eye doctor and if it is scratched, you will probably get some steroid or other medical drops for your eye to help it heal quickly.

"Fatt". That's funny. Now I'm going to go to my eye doctor and say "How's my fatt?" The next thing I'll probably say is "Jabba the what? How rude!"
