Have you ever been in a position where your Safety RX glasses protected you from an injury? What happened?
I haven't actually looked at the numbers, but I would guess that most people wear safety glasses on the job as opposed to organizing their stamp collection. If you wear Safety First glasses on the...
I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that if you're old enough to be in a forum, you're too old for Rugrats eyeglasses. So I'm going to ask about the Rugrats glasses worn by your brother or sister, son...
I wonder if geelmore got a replacement Clensatron?
Cheer up. At least you can say you have the Canadian Football League.
What's going on, Willow? Do you still see prisms and circles?
This is a painted picture rather than a photograph, but it's a good place to start.
Wow, that's along time. It seems kind of ironic that lenses that people need every day only last a week or a month, and then you have these novelty lenses that will probably be only worn once, and...
It looks as though kimadam's post has been deleted. Thanks for helping me out. Now maybe you can get some others to read this thread and respond.
Yeah. That's it, AllyCat. That's it exactly. ;)
Those look a lot like my Ray-Ban glasses.
Looks like no one has answered this question yet, even though you posted it more than three years ago. I doesn't seem like a difficult question. Maybe the people who saw this thread thought I don't...
It seems as though they're not telling.
I suppose Bulova watches are well-made, and so I guess the company is hoping I'll see these and think "I bet these glasses frames are as well-made as a fancy Bulova watch. I think I'll buy them right...
I couldn't find Budget brand glasses on line. All I found were "budget" (as in low-cost) glasses.
Oh yes. Been there. I can't seem to find any pictures of Brilliance sunglasses, though.
I can see these Legendary Looks 227T Botany 500 glasses on a sharp dressed man.
OK, you got me to look at this thread with the words "tight" and "Body Glove."
To answer your question, Body Glove glasses aren't particularly body-hugging.
Here is what Body Glove BB110...
I don't have a sexy little vixen in me, but I wouldn't mind having one with me.
I found these sunglasses on eBay. Does that count?
That's a pretty sweet pin.
I use my shirt all the time to clean my glasses. I wonder if any ladies out there will admit to using their skirt to clean their glasses?
Where did you get all this information, Sarmi?
Nnnnnnnope. Never heard of `em.
Well, it makes sense that eyes that are not 100% healthy should get more attention. What does surprise me is that eye doctor think a healthy person takes more than a year to develop eye issues.
I don't know if you wore a regular contact lens with the +2.75 on the non-dominat side you would be having the same problem. Maybe someone else can help with that.
As far as whether or not you'll...
Thanks for that translation, DebiK. It made things easier for me to understand.
Did you notice the pretty red banner at the top of the page? The one that says "Lens.com"? They're the ones who make this forum possible and so I checked their lenses. All of their color contacts...
I don't know about you or Cheezhed, but I'm scared to try and touch my eye.
What brand of RGP lenses are you wearing, feh?
Welcome to Lens 101 Melljoy. Have you searched the site for bifocal contact lens advice? Here's a thread with some satisfied customers:...
Funny how no one has responded in over two years. ;) Mathu and fleming have become rather quiet.
So it sounds like no one really needs that UV protection though. If it's "a very small miniscule percentage of light reduction" why bother? Is it a waste of money?
What does "slightly flatter K" mean? I'm glad your lenses only took two weeks to get used to. How was it those first two weeks? Were the lenses ever painful? Was it just a slight sensation of...
Looks like DebiK figured it out for us. Good job.
You're right. Some contact lenses do only come in one diameter.
It's been a couple of months now hardlens. How are things going with those contacts?
I don't get it. How is diameter not important? Why do they even bother offering different diameters?
Thank you for the clarification.
Did your doctor tell you that? I hope you beat the odds.
It's been about a week since that post up there. Have the "cheap" contacts from Lens.com arrived yet?
Not many people go from blue to brown, and I don't know why, but for the model in those pictures it's a good thing.
I think I'd rather be "helpful to us" than "helpful to use."
Yeah, but she hasn't posted anything in this thread for over a year. Perhaps it's time to move on. . .
Well the way I see it, buying contact lenses from the sponsor is a great way to show your appreciation for Lens 101.
Of course, in your situation, I can see why you would want to save money where...
Those other things involve the surface of the eye itself rather than the eyelids, right?
Yeah, I would expect people to try all sorts of things during the adaptation period.
Rockets and models and flaming eyeballs, oh my!
Wait, doesn't that make me . . .
Never mind.
Spell Check won't catch that. :)
. . . and still trying to sing "Macho Man" in a convincing manner. :D
Do you think that an eye doctor who wears glasses would be more trustworthy or less so?
If you must curse, make sure you use a lot of funny symbols like *, %, & and the ever popular @.
I see you've done that to set a good example, Tony. I'm glad.
Has that happened to you more than once?
That's right, JakeBullet. Don't forget that.
Okay, well . . . I asked you to tell us more about yourself, and you did. I think it's cool that you weren't afraid to start with your age. Good for you. I remember when I was 34. A new century had...
"GotICL." Is that a question, as in "Got Milk?"
Or is it a statement of fact: "I've got milk"?
Yes, and now look what happened, Goldar. The Village People showed up.
I think so too, but you'd be surprised how many women have huge crush on the Tenth Doctor.
"Oh, I'm pretty."
You've come to the right place. Lens 101 is good for that sort of thing.
You said "some are Silicon Hydrogel, some aren't. Other use 'PC Technology' or 'water-loving material'. Pretty sure my...
Sure. Sounds good to me.
Yeah, I'm sure Doublehelix has better things to do, but let's hope we hear something soon.
What's new with you, GotICL? Have you seen the doctor for any follow up visits?
Well, he certainly looks happy . . .
Thanks for checking that link for us, cxwatts.
I hope this Christmas was better for you, Cattt.
Does your patient care include contact lenses or have your patients given up on such luxuries as contact lenses by the time they come under your...
Why would Jawa have to throw the contacts away? Are they ruined just because they were in the wrong eyes for a few minutes at best? I don't understand.
Have you decided to get a second opinion on your contact lens issues?
Sure, if I had a pair of Airlock glasses I might use them as part of a costume. Since they're called "Airlock," maybe I'll use them as part of an astronaut costume.
Did you say "construction workers"?
Well that lady in the pictures above looks just as good with brown eyes as with blue. I don't see any reason why people should hesitate.
Wow, the number of remarkable things pictured in this thread is quite . . . remarkable.
How do you feel about buying contact lenses from the "foreign market"?
No, probably not. Keep that "honey and vinegar" thing in mind.
That would be pretty cool, wouldn't it? "Here, try these. They're the brand I wear."
Whatever you need to do, FantasyEyeland. It's cool. We understand.
I dig that Gene Simmons dollar. Rock on, America!
Wow. This thread has been very active today.
Hopefully, the good people of Lens 101 will get enough information in the right way to prevent some infections, but you know as well as I do that some...
Heidi who? Is that picture of there of the woman giving the Vulcan salute a famous Heidi? Heidi Klum? Heidi Montag? Heidi Fleiss?
Well, would anybody like to take up the challenge? Who among you, you who are reading these words, will step up and talk about their Air Optix Night and Day Aqua lenses and how trouble-free they are?
Thanks for pulling us back from the void, ElaineKramer.
There's a match made in heaven for you . . .
So you wore Acuvue 2 Colours - Opaques? Were they uncomfortable and that's why you don't wear them any more?
I don't think you need anything special, do you? Just regular moisturizing drops?
Don't you mean "No doctor . . . will tell you that you don't drink enough"?
Step out of the car please, sir.
Now close your eyes and touch your nose . . .
What I want to know is, what's so great about that "monovision style of correction"?
Do you know specifically what these wipes are made of, luvbostonxo2? Specifically, what kind of cleaners are in them? I'm not too concerned with the material the wipes are made of, but the stuff that...
Yeah, me too, but I can't seem to find any. I see a whole bunch of pictures of just the sunglasses, but not people wearing them.
Wow. Talks about puffy swollen eyes!
Aw come on, Ragnarox. You've got over five hundred posts here. Surely in that time you must have learned something.
I hope all continues to be well, and that you continue to check in with us.
I'm glad you have such good things to say about Lens 101. Thank you for your kind words.
I wonder how many of those people are doctors? I noticed that many of those people who say that you shouldn't sleep in contact lenses are just regular lay people who have the opinion that contact...
I just read your post again and I spotted something. You said that most people seem to think that when it comes to eye color, the lighter the better. Would you agree with that, people of Lens 101?
...
Good question. I know that when I don't get enough sleep, I feel it most in my eyes when my eyelids feel heavy. Then of course you have that fashionable bloodshot look. I suppose those things happen...
It kind of surprises me too that there are contact lens specialists. I mean sure, fitting contact lenses is tricky, but having a specialist kind of reminds me of comedian Dick Shawn's take on...
I like your attitude, CLSC. :)
Yeah, if you just read and don't switch pages or scroll or anything for more than a few minutes you're automatically logged out.
As far as the spam, it's my observation that it seems to appear...
Hi alen29716. Welcome to Lens 101. What's new? What's exciting? Are you going to respond to these nice people greeting you?
Yup. I went back to look at your first post and it was just to say that you wear chestnut brown Acuvue 2 Colours - Opaque contact lenses over green eyes, and it seems like everybody likes your look. ...
