Do you shed eyelashes on a regular basis? I can't recall the last time I found a stray eyelash.
Was that lawsuit about contact lenses, or contact lens solution?
I'm surprised no one has answered with "It's just a thing, okay?"
I'd like someone who owns a pair of Extreme glasses to tell the class what's so extreme about them. It sounds very exciting.
I found this brand name on this website and decided to do a little exploring. I couldn't seem to find any examples of Expressions eyeglasses on line. Is that a real brand name?
I heard about these Exclusive eyeglasses, but when I tried to look them up, all the results used the word "exclusive" as an adjective rather than a brand name. Is there really a brand of glasses...
I tried find a nice picture of some Exces Princess 101 glasses to show you, but all the websites said they were unavailable. So does that mean they can't even show me a picture?
Ever go "window shopping" for glasses? Have you tried going to your local eyeglasses store and just tried on a pair of Evolite glasses without being pressured to make a purchase? Did you go on to buy...
Do you buy glasses from the Internet? Would you recommend it to others here? What if you don't have a credit card, can you still order on line?
When you bought your current pair of Europa glasses, did you take the shape of your face into account? Did you say to yourself "Okay, I've got kind of a round face, so I'll need to find some...
You may find this difficult to believe, but sometimes advertisers can try to trick you. It's true. They may call their glasses "Euro-Steel," to make you think they're from some exotic land like Rome...
Did you find your Essence glasses by doing a Google search? I read something on another forum that said if you want glasses that look like a certain brand, do a Google search. When I tried it, I got...
Hopefully you'll get used to those "weighted" lenses. That sounds like how they make toric lenses for people with astigmatism. Does anyone know if multifocal lenses are weighted too?
So how much can you see with those lenses? How close can you get to something before it starts to look fuzzy?
Most likely such a person would be attracted to the Coleman name.
Why waste your time looking at da Cubs?
Hello? Anyone? Did that chip thing scare you?
I don't blame you, JT.
Let's see, the first contact lenses were invented int he 1880s. I can't find any mention on the Internet as to when the tool was invented though.
Ah, yes. Thank you LittleElvis.
Or should I say "thank you very much"?
How long is an "ultra long period"?
You're right, Brittvid, I'm not selling those sunglasses because they're not mine. That's just a picture I used to illustrate my question about what people think about that style. Evidently...
Good, I'm glad you found a routine that helps with your allergies.
You're getting lots of comliments, mehoolio. I think your contact lenses are a hit.
Yeah. I wonder why that happened?
Did you get a prescription from your doctor? If you tell us the numbers we may be able to find a daily toric (astigmatism) lens for you. In fact, there's one called "Focus Dailies Toric." You can...
Does this picture of a clock demonstrate that "ghosting" that you're experiencing?
http://www.usaeyes.org/images/clock-ghost.jpg
I found that picture in an article that said "on more rare...
Thanks for that answer, even though the question seems to have gone away. You mean corneal ulcers can take from three months to a year to heal, right? As for the scarring, if you get the ulcer...
At least you get to see well during the day. How long does it usually take you to put your contacts in and take them out?
That sounds like a very narrow range. FreshLook Colours go from -8.0 +6.0.
Have you done a search for the word "Freshkon"? I'm sure this isn't the only place I've seen it.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm glad the lenses work for you for a day, and that you won't "wear daily lenses for longer like a week or longer." I don't know why people don't...
Did Jenny Craig help Jason Alexander shed unwanted pounds AND his glasses?
That's right. We want out guests to feel welcome after all. Sorry about that jay781.
I'm glad you approve, 3scompany. :)
Actually, Tradecade is right. "ICU2" is a pun on "I See You, Too." Appropriate for a contact lens forum, don't you think?
It definitely is pretty.
Sylvia said in post #7 "Sorry if it wasn't clear but that's not me, just a picture of someone wearing the lenses for reference."
Those lenses do look pretty good, though.
Yes, I suppose that's another way of looking at it. I'm fortunate enough that have eyes that work well for reading and contributing to my favorite on line forum, but if I want to drive or watch TV, I...
Well, that sort of thing is difficult to judge across the Internet divide. All I can guess from here is that your left eye is a special challenge. Hopefully the new lens will match up well with your...
That's a good point, captain. Hopefully novelty lens technology has improved in the last thirty years or so.
Hopefully the people in charge of selling lenses at Lens.com are paying attention to this thread. I doubt they can sell Solotica lenses in the US, but maybe Lens.com can find a lens brand to sell...
I hope you get this sorted out, alikair. Please keep us informed of any developments in your case.
What kind of numbers define "high astigmatism"?
Are Menicon EX contact lenses widely available or will people be looking to Boston 7 to replace them?
Good news, hardlens. Thanks for sharing. Happy contact lens wearing.
Thanks, Sylvia.
You know I never thought about tinting the pupil. If it was light enough to see through, then it wouldn't be dark enough to change the color of your eye. That's pretty smart.
I'm glad you enjoy reading and posing in Lens 101. I do, too. I don't know about you, but I almost never log in without responding to a post or asking a new question.
I found this on the website for the University of Michigan.
Rigid or "hard" contacts were the first lenses; they were developed in the 1960's. They are made of a type of plastic called PMMA...
Exactly. That's what it's a good idea to use a gender neutral name like ICU2.
"Red Five, standing by."
So did you go to a clinic or anything, Aliaz?
I didn't say it before, so I thought I'd come back and thank you for your reassuring words.
I've heard of that "New Start" thing before, Klingons4Peace. I don't actually practice it very well, but I have heard of it.
Well, she is very beautiful. If a guy took that picture I can imagine he said "Okay now pretend you're about to put that contact lens in . . . . Um . . . . well, never mind. That looks great."
That's a shame, Georgiaonmymind. So have you found new confidence these days?
Yeah, I bet that has delayed many an eyeglasses wearer's foray into Contact Lens Land.
How did you find this information, FScott? Is there a website that people can use to find substitute lens cleaners?
How can you tell it's not inside out before you put it in? Is there some kind of mark?
I'm just revisiting this thread and as I scrolled down I experienced exactly what you were talking about, Building63. I can't help love a woman whose thighs are as thick as my waist. :o
We're all looking at you, dlawrence50.
Something like that, yeah.
Yeah. Especially that one up there that moves. It looks like a shark's mouth.
The American requirement for a prescription may not be due to anything wrong with the lenses, but--I speak as an American--it might have something to do with the people who will potentially wear them.
That's too bad, Timbo59. Sorry to read that you're going to give up on RGP lenses. What are you going to do now?
That's a nice color. Do they have a pupil hole?
Celebrities are wearing colored contact lenses, and not telling me? What is the world coming to? :D
Isn't he the one who said "I'd call you a genius, except I'm in the room"?
Still no word back from nana1 then? I hope he or she is okay.
Just because someone's called "nana1" doesn't mean they're a woman.
Right Francis?
7 days. That doesn't sound so terribly bad. How was it from day to day? Was in a very gradual improvement, or could you tell right away first thing in the morning that things were looking and feeling...
Hi ellendy. Welcome to our humble little Internet forum.
I don't know where you've looked at prices on contact lenses, but the easiest thing to do would be to click on the red banner and check...
There's more to wearing contact lenses comfortably than just oxygen permeability, as I'm sure you're aware. A person may have to limit their contact lens wear time because of other factors such as...
Do you think we're going to? It's been a long time since that question was first posted, and it's a very specific question. It's not just "who uses a machine to clean their contact lenses?" but "Who...
Thank you for clarifying you lens removal technique. So you move the lens from your cornea to the white part of your eye in order to remove it, right? Was that something you figured out on your own,...
Sorry the Air Optix Aqua contact lenses didn't work out for you. So what brand of contact lenses are you wearing now? Have you decided to stick with the monthly replacement schedule?
Your "two weeks" was several months ago now. How are things going with you and your contact lenses? Are they as good as you hoped they would be?
You say you don't know much about them, but you could have fooled me. Thanks for responding to my question in any case. Have a good one.
Sweet Enterprise picture, Columbia. Didn't Starfleet have a ship by that name?
Never mind, I'll save that for the Star Trek forum.
No as for your questions, it says here:
"GP contact...
Do you still get those migraines, fuzzyeyeball? If so, are they a little less panic-inducing now that you know a little more about them? Can you tell us more?
You're welcome hardlens. Thank you for all of the posts that you've contributed to Lens 101 since you've been a member. How long has it been since you signed on?
I like to think that the "good bacteria" in my eye look like tiny Godzillas.
You're from Austria are you. Cool. What do you mean by "high street"? Do they have anything like that in the US that we Americans can relate to? I've heard the expression before, but I don't know...
Wow, this is a happening thread. This is the fourth posting today. So does anyone know anything about this "membrane" mentioned by AA2?
You make some good points, Maxumized. Thanks for contributing.
Does chocolate have enough water in it to affect your eyes like in this thread? I mean, obviously we're not talking about eliminating water entirely. That would be fatal.
Thanks for explaining that a bit more, Timbo59. It makes more sense to me now.
Wow. Isn't it amazing that you had one of these ocular migraines right as you were contributing to Lens 101? Or is it more like you were doing something else and then sat down at your computer when...
Congratulations, hardlens, on finding contact lens success and comfort.
So what's the difference between RGP and PMMA lenses, other than your personal opinion of them?
Hey, I recognize those words. Does anyone else?
What sort of "growing pains" do you mean?
No you're not the only person who hasn't turned forty yet but still has problems reading. It happens.
Keep us posted on your progress, Jodi, and let us know if we can do anything else.
Yeah, don't try to fit your own contact lenses. Let a doctor do it.
Moneyfornothin has a good idea. Go to your eye doctor and get your contact lenses checked for proper fit.
Thanks for your help, MaryTamm2. I think you're right about that lens space. Hopefully you won't need the lenses to be very thick at the bottom.
Yes, as RawBob said, "thank you for answering ICU2's questions."
I have another question based on your answer. You said "Daily lenses are, I think, particularly thin and lightly constructed, so...
Thank you for your reply, iluvpmmalenses.
I wasn't desperate, Wheatgrass. Did my use of italics lead you to that conclusion? I guess I'll have to watch the drama from now on. :)
