DO you have a strange tale to tell about your Modz glasses? Did you break them while break dancing? Did they fall off by a waterfall? Were they cracked by a firecracker?

DO you have a strange tale to tell about your Modz glasses? Did you break them while break dancing? Did they fall off by a waterfall? Were they cracked by a firecracker?
Okay, that's all the...
Have you broken your glasses while you were at work? How did it happen? Was the damage due to the work you were actually doing, or did it just happen to take place while you were on the clock? Did...
LASIK surgery is intended to permanently correct the patient's vision and eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses. However, it seems to me that quite often the surgery does not have the...
No takers yet ay, Rhonda?
That's okay. Here's a pic of Katy Perry sporting a blue ponytail and pink sunglasses that the site says are Prada.
If you've been wearing Venuti glasses for a number of years, how has your prescription changed? Has it gotten stronger or weaker?
What's the hardest thing you ever had to clean off of a pair of glasses? Have you ever gotten something like tree sap or paint on them that finally came off? What did you use?
Have you ever had to play MacGuyver and figure out a way to fix your glasses without visiting the doctor and paying a hundred dollars? Did your repair fix the problem, or was it just a temporary...
Ya gotta love the mechanical engineers.
Hey, keep in touch with us in Europe, okay? They have Internet there, right? :p
Not really, Guinness. Wouldn't it be dark "after hours"? :p
I agree. This is a very good thread.
That's not a very helpful website the way you described it. What good is it to look at some glasses on Kate Middleton if you more closely resemble Kate Jackson?
You're probably right, Joeyrosschandler.
It doesn't always look bad when someone wears their glasses half way down their nose. I suppose it depends on the nose.
Wow, a Golden Turkey trophy. You don't see one of those every day.
That's right, I looked these up and there were only four styles listed: Alexis 1, Alexis 2, Alexis 7 and Alexis 8. What happened to all the rest?
Do After Hours glasses come with lenses that can be made to darken automatically in the sun? What if the pair I have don't have that feature? Can I get it added later?
Does anyone know who Adin Thomas is? I don't, but I bet he's a young man. People didn't name their kids "Adin" thirty years ago.
Abba Kiku glasses come in Bronze, Gunmetal and Shiny gold. What's your favorite metallic look for these glasses? How about posting a picture of yourself with your glasses?
Have you ever ordered a pair of glasses, say Abba Expo glasses, and when they came to you, you didn't like them? Why didn't you? Were you able to order a different style? Did you buy them anyway and...
After you ordered your A-List glasses, how long did you have to wait for them? Did you get them before you left the office or did you have to wait for them to arrive in the mail?
Welcome to the wonderful world of contact lenses. My first reaction to your post is that you're experiencing the normal adjustment period for your contacts, and I think each day things will get...
I don't think they make a scrap of difference when there's no glare.
Nah, that can't happen. Why mess with chips?
I would love to tell people I wear Bilateral bifocals.
If I understand what I read correctly, the sine and the cosine are ways to measure a triangle. If you have a triangle than no, you can't have a sine without a cosine. It's like having length but no...
The image that I find more disturbing is of a grown man asking "Hey Doc. You got any Incredible Hulk glasses?"
Do you really think it's a good idea to name glasses after a character associated with the word "smash?"
Maybe they're fighting the stereotype that people who wear glasses never do anything "sinful."
Hey, anybody got a picture of someone wearing glasses and some devil horns?
Nice use of the word "superfluous."
I wish I could help you more, but it's a very specific question you're asking. I don't actually know what brand of glasses I wear. They may even be Imago, who...
Hi jen1959. Once your skin heals would you be willing to post some pictures of yourself in your Innova lenses?
Aren't Cristal contact lenses made by Solotica? Someone in another post said "Ice-mint and Cristal are the same thing. The actual name is Solotica Natural Colors Cristal Ice-mint."
Since those are trial lenses, I'd guess that something's wrong with them, not your eyes. Tell your eye doctor about your trouble with fine print and he or she will be able to make some adjustments.
I think changing the solution every three months is pretty low maintenance. Maybe you can change your solution each time you change your oil. :)
Seriously, check the box. There's probably fine...
It's been nearly three years now. At this point I don't think bodyrock89 is coming back.
Lens.com has Frequecy 55 Aspheric lenses in a sphere of 0.25, but you probably already know that. 0.25 isn't really the same as plano, is it? Just trying to help.:)
...
How do you know that the site is "pretty legit"? If you were to create a fake Web page to scam people out of their money, you'd make it look "pretty legit," wouldn't you? You wouldn't say "Get your...
I know just what you mean. I used to hang out with a guy whom girls considered "cute" and it was incredible how easily I could disappear when standing next to him. I got the feeling I could have set...
That's a useful suggestion, thanks.
So in answer to MaryTamm's question, an eye doctor can tell that their patients have been wearing their lenses too long. They don't have to ask right?
I hope this story has a happy ending, Eva. Keep us posted.
We look forward to your upcoming reports. Let us know ho easy the lenses are to get in and out, and how they feel once they're in. Then maybe you can tell us if they're worth the price you paid for...
I've read a lot about those Solotica lenses on this forum. It's too bad Lens.com doesn't (or can't) sell them. Can you buy Soloticas in the US? I thought I read somewhere that they don't ship them to...
Welcome to Lens Marketing 101. :)
I tend to agree, Sandistix. I'm thinking fuzzyeyeball just got some bad lenses and soon will be comfortable again with different ones.
Has anyone tried this technique and cal tell us that it really works?
I'm afraid that since I'm not a a doctor and I can't see your eyes from here, the best I can do is say "let's hope it'll pass." I hope you get those answers you seek from people who have been through...
So does that mean that there are some contact lenses you can order in Australia without a prescription?
Yeah, no kidding, right?
Even the baby says hi.
Sure. I know about these things.
Is Clear Care expensive?
Yeah, that might be time consuming. Like winding up a propeller on a model airplane, only you don't risk losing a finger if it slips.
Okay, let's try it again. From the top:
R: +1.00, -0.5x100
L:+0.75,-0.5x70
PD R: 31 L: 31
R & L = The [right and left] eyes.
The first number (+1.00 and +0.75) is the sphere power.
The...
Well, Klingons are very traditional.
I did a Google search but did not find a product called "Paragon HDS 100 for Ortho K." Just "Paragon HDS 100."
If it turns out that those lenses do exist, and you do need them, then if your...
So Menicon is used to clean RGP lenses, and it's a powerful cleaner? That's what neets said at the top of this thread. Neets said "I would love to know the name and source of the strongest cleaner...
I can't wait to read your review, sylvia. Don't keep us waiting long.
I guess you were right, Sox05. Good call.
How about Lens 101 member "cattt"?
Yeah, some people don't care what kind of attention they get, but I like positive attention.
I don't know if there's way to specifically increase those "good" bacteria, but if you take care of yourself, eat right and get some exercise and plenty of rest, then you probably will have a healthy...
I don't think I would buy contact lenses from Craigslist in any case. I think that sort of thing should only be gotten from a doctor or a reputable site like Lens.com.
I agree. Your daughter has pretty brown eyes. They go well with her overall color. That doesn't mean that she shouldn't try contact lenses, though. That could be fun, too.
That must have been very painful.
Someone must have deleted a post because now that one's #5.
So are you clear on what those prescription numbers mean, with the X100 and everything?
It looks like Andrewsiddle only has that one post here so far and Kevin123 has 9 posts at this point. I'm not sure what else we can do with this post other than answer Andrewsiddle's greeting over...
Allow me to continue the tradition.
Yup.
That's a good idea. You'll be driving soon, and by that time you should be settled into your new glasses. Do you have a particular brand of glasses in mind? Lens 101 has an eyeglasses section, you...
I don't have one of those, Kyleden, but it sure looks cool. It's like a tiny washing machine for your contacts.
That looks like your prescription. Are they in columns or something? A typical prescription has three measurements for each eye. Look around Lens 101 for some other posts that explain contact lens...
Here's a picture I found of Bradley Cooper and his watery blue demon eyes.
I found this picture on a website that supposedly teaches you a spell (as in witchcraft) to change the color of your...
Do you find that phrase coming in handy, Shamrocker? I'm having to use that hovercraft line constantly . . .
What kind of contact lenses do you wear, Kevin123? Or are you just thinking of getting time someday? How did you find Lens 101? Were you specifically looking for a contact lens forum?
What brings you to Lens 101, Kevin123? Have you met Andrewsiddle?
So there's actually a brand of contact lenses called "FreshLook Handling Tint"?
I noticed that when I went to Lens.com. I'd say 90% of their lenses on the vial contact lenses page had "Discontinued" next to their names. Sure they take a while to get used to, but I understand...
What about the humidity?
Will it make my brown eyes blue? :) (Just kidding.)
I don't know if "they" do, but you can. Feel free.
So rod2007 basically gets his contacts at work, right?
Sorry, don't mean to talk about you like you weren't there, rod. So do you wear contacts at work and now you're think of wearing them full...
I like the snowman contact lens holder.
I agree that contact lens wear time is determined by the person who's wearing them. From what I've read here, it's usually best to wear biweekly lenses for one week if you wear them day and night,...
That sounds more entrepreneurial that obsessive. Do you sell them to friends or strangers? How do you get them to like the idea of buying used sunglasses?
Yes, and like they say, "it's not easy seeing green." :p
I'm about your age, but I'm myopic, unfortunately for you and your question. I hear that people my age start developing hyperopia as a matter of course.
Is that the Ctrl-Alt-Del reboot I see up there?
Yeah, I'm a computer nerd. So what?
No, I guess not. I think he or she will be back, though. It seems like members can tell when we're talking about them.
Yeah. We trichromes are missing out, aren't we?
You may want to ask your eye doctor about things like base curve and diameter. It's always a good idea to be an informed patient.
Right. Not good. Bad, Not good bad.
Good guy, bad guy. Good guy, bad guy. (Anybody see the movie "Carpool" with Tom Arnold? If you did you'd be laughing.)
That sounds pretty simple and straightforward. Thanks.
Thank you for putting my Klingon mind at ease. Live long and prosper.
While reading an article about toric lenses, I came across this surprising statement: "Toric contacts, available in both RGP and soft lens format, are made to correct astigmatism as well as myopia or...
How well do Proclear Toric XR contact lenses correct your astigmatism? Do you get crystal-clear vision both near and far when you wear them?
I know that myopia can be repaired with surgery, but I don't know about myopia. Can that be fixed with a laser or a scalpel? If so, how successful can we expect such a procedure to be?
These contacts are called Hydrocurve 3 Toric, leading one to believe that there are Hydrocurves and Hydrocurve 2s out there somewhere. Does anyone know anything about them?
Have you had a chance to compare these to the regular Frequency 55 Toric lenses? Is the XR worth changing your prescription? Did you tell your doctor something like "I think I'd like to go with the...
Ultraviolet light is normally invisible to the human eye, but I was wondering if wearing these lenses does anything more than make things less blurry. Are they a little less bright too or anything?...
How comfortable are these contact lenses when you first put them in? Are they comfortable right away? Do they still feel good even in averse conditions such as smoke or allergy season?
