Do you have any problems with getting them mixed up?
Here's hoping you get better treatment back home. I hope you'll tell us how it went.
I'm glad I could be of service, John316.
Have you thought about shaving your neck? :p
Thanks for your review. Wouldn't you say that if you were going to buy colored contact lenses, then the color should be noticeable?
Good quote, and I agree. Another monetary motivation would be the desire to save money by not paying for something.
It sounds like it wasn't easy to get those lenses. Was it worth the effort?
How's it going? Are you still "wateryeyes" or will you have to change your name?
Good question, Goldar. I'd like to know that, too.
So far, no good.
You went there with that illustration, didn't you?
I'm glad you think so. A contrast between your complexion and your glasses frames would make them stand out.
Thanks Jawa. You didn't mention Clariti glasses specifically, but I guess it doesn't matter. It would be nice if I could hear from someone who wears that specific brand, but I'm happy to hear from...
I've heard that before about low water content lenses. It sounds strange to say that lenses with a higher water content dry out your eyes more, but I've read it in several different places.
You make a very good case for daily disposable lenses on a camping trip. Worthy of Perry Mason himself.
Your pain is probably not due to protein buildup. My understanding is that takes quite a while. Try these steps the next time your contacts hurt.
1. Make sure they're nice and clean. Take the...
Sorry to hear about your eye-fountains, wateryeyes. How long have you been wearing contact lenses? Have you had better success with another brand?
It seems like Clear Care gets a lot of good press around here. What do you use for your "weekly enzyme treatment"?
I would think that the opposite of "unisex" would be "gender specific." As for special "girly" Adidas glasses, I couldn't find pictures of any.
I like those glasses. I like glasses with narrow lenses like that.
Baby Phat does indeed make reading glasses.
When I got my glasses I ordered the scratch-resistant coating because I know I can be a little clumsy sometimes.
Look at that. No rely in three years. Maybe they don't like your use of the word "phat."
What do you mean "they don't let any light into my eyes"? Do you mean light over the sides of the lenses, or are you bumping into things?
I was kind of thinking the same thing.
I'm curious as to how a a "deep lens shape" is "suitable for progressives lenses."
You can probably have any kind of lenses you need in your Valmax VM frames.
I guess it depends on whether you want to hide your glasses or show them off. "Fair with fair, dark with dark" would be the rule if you don't want to look like a "four eyes." However, if you like the...
Titanium was discovered in 1791 by the Reverend William Gregor, an English pastor. (You don't hear much about pastors making scientific discoveries.) Titanium is a strong, light metal. It is as...
Thanks for checking, ElizabethSydney
What's a "classic double-bar metal with a single-bridge"? What other kind of "bars" are in glasses?
I guess if you're gonna wear `em, wear `em big.
"That's not your problem." You made me chucklem Vita_man. :D
I haven't, but I know what you mean about the stylist asking me to remove my glasses. I guess so the clippers don't try to cut them.
"Add" is additional plus power in the lower portion of a multifocal lens (progressive, bifocal, or trifocal) that is required for near vision.
I can't truthfully say it's happened to me, but I can believe that it does happen.
Yes, day-by-day conditions like humidity can affect the fit of toric lenses.
As far as how often to see your doctor about that ocular pressure, I would hope that your doctor examines your eyes...
What brand has the "big green and noticeable word (OK)"? I want to see if I can find a picture of the "OK" mark.
Hi Mike. What other brands of contact lenses have you worn in your lens career?
Thanks for that exhaustive research, sexynerd. ;)
Yup. I think Lens 101 has the right idea.
Wow. That's a lot of views.
I was just about to say something like that, Eagleye. Will I get a strange and/or unpleasant reaction from the office if I start asking about their equipment?
Thanks for the reality check, Face.
Myself, I like what Shamrocker has to say, but the green text is getting to be a bit much.
I can't imagine what would motivate someone to try and forge a contact lens prescription.
You can't tell if a person has a dependence on drops right at first. What about after that? What are the signs of genuine eye drop dependence?
That's right. The best thing about this website is there are people here who speak from experience.
Ah, the old Disappearing Brunette . . .
That was close, HorseLuver.
Of course, me being Wierdscience and all, I could have handled it, but still . . .
I suppose with all the sunglasses in all the world, no one on this site has taken a picture of themselves or anyone else in Armani sunglasses, specifically
So that's a "no" on the telepathy thing?
Still no word from kithsu.
I don't know what brand name my glasses are. They must not be anything fancy. There's no lettering on them at all in fact.
Yes! (Fist pump.) Another picture of Amanda! Good work, sexynerd.
That's a good color. I like those contact lenses on you. Are they comfortable as well? Do they feel as good as they look?
Can you drive with your vision like that?
Does the box look like this?
So those are the people who would be better off with soft lenses, right?
I bet you still look cute on your blah days.
Who's got the best forum on the Internet for warm fuzzies? Lens 101, that's who.
Who is this? What's your operating number?
Yeah I didn't learn very much about optics in my science classes. However, in the early 80's someone asked the science teacher when Halley's comet was scheduled to return and the teacher just looked...
We appreciate your honesty, Privateyez. :)
I bet they will, Uhura. They will probably have to convert their currency, too. Can anyone confirm or deny?
Yeah, but will Oakley.com ship their products to other countries, such as England, like OrganicPete asked?
Absolutely. I would never try and write up a fake prescription. Not only am I a law-abiding citizen in general, but I have a hard time lying. I have a terrible poker face.
I know what doors and windows are, but what's "the Sig"?
Yes, quite so, quite so.
Smart enough to join Lens 101. ;)
That's the best we can hope for until we hear something back from Mia7464.
Hey, can anyone here form a telepathic connection?
I've done that before, only where I come from their called "parking lots," but that's okay. Car-parks bring a nice international flavor to this forum.
It's funny. Sometimes I don't feel the strain...
Wow. That's a very impressive first post Tricia. Thanks for taking the time to find all that information and for bringing it here.
Aw now don't say that. How is the sponsor supposed to sell you colored contact lenses? :p
Just kidding of course. Natural chocolate brown is good. I hope you'll continue to stick around.
It can't be that hard. There aren't a lot of moving parts and I'm sure it comes with instructions. I think anyone who's capable of wearing contact lenses and is smart enough to use Clear Care will be...
I'm not sure I'm ready to buy imported Oakley sunglasses at this point in time. Is there anyone here on the forum who would be interested in buying Oakley sunglasses from the UK and having them sent...
I'm just visiting this thread after being away for a while and I still love that picture of cattt with the sparkly shades and the gorgeous eyes. I think I'll submit this and look at them some more.
I didn't mention it before, but you've got a very different look in those pictures. I had to double check the name to make sure it matched. Do the contact lenses make that much of a difference? :D
...
Thanks for the tip. I haven't heard much about those lenses. Are they available in the United States? How much do they cost?
Yes, and we appreciate it, Curly. Thanks for coming back to ask and answer more questions. That's what keeps this forum going after all.
I've noticed that when I'm staring at the computer monitor for a while my eyes begin to burn. Is that because I'm not blinking enough and my eyes are beginning to dry out?
You're right, Eyeofharmony. I would feel better too if people would return to this forum and say "I did what you suggested and everything's good now. My contact lenses are finally comfortable....
So the prescription of a contact lens is actually on the back? Does that mean the front of every contact lens is a simple semicircle?
What's new, Mia7464? Do you still sleep in your contact lenses and wake up with crusty eyes? What did your doctor say?
One thing that reduces the "fudge factor" would be that any reputable contact lens dealer will contact the eye doctor and confirm the prescription. Hopefully things will stop when the doctor says "I...
Well, we have the word from rodney123456 that "they are fine," and so until we hear otherwise we should probably just go with that. I like thinking that all is "fine" anyway. It gives me a warm fuzzy...
Perhaps if you had some FreshLook ColorBlends . . .
I checked that site, but the prices are so low I'm suspicious. They all seem to be priced at sixteen dollars. That means they've got to be fake or cancer-causing or explosive or something.
Hi there Rrabbit. I don't know very much about those ultrasonic cleaners, other than they're pretty neat. I tried doing an online search, but I didn't find anything about them fading colored contact...
Hi there Techgal44. Welcome to Lens 101. The higher water content of those lenses will probably make your eyes feel better. I think you're on the right track.
Cattt's back, and she brought her bling!
Wow, those are some shiny shades. Nice picture too. Was that at Glamor Shots or something? Don't worry, it's just the right size.
What are "well rolled edges"?
Did this "red color image" happen before or after the surgery?
What did you use before you switched to Clear Care?
I'm with Teddikitty. You should try replacing your contacts a little more often.
So you're all set now? Do you have a happy ending?
Hello RoxyHM. Welcome to Lens 101. What brings you here?
People do a lot of weird things today to make themselves look younger. Then there are those who are a little more sensible. I wonder if anyone out there thinks that their Durasoft 2 Colors OP lenses...
I was just idly thinking this afternoon, and I began to wonder if there was anyone out there who has a spouse or a sibling that has the same Durasoft 2 ColorBlends contact lens prescription as they...
Well, a contact lens is supposed to be in contact with your eye, correct? Ideally, the curve of the lens should be the same as the curve of your eye. Otherwise the optics won't work and they won't...
So what do you think about that cornea reshaping thing?
Woah. Mega-giant lens.
I was just thinking of posting the same question, Mary. If these lenses are "standard" then what are all those other lenses supposed to be? How are these lenses different...
