You have a great idea, Joeyrosschandler. If you put your contact lenses in a place that you'll go to every day, you won't lose them. Put them in a logical place and you'll find them easily.
Good, I'm glad you're so pleased with your Biofinity Toric lenses. Thanks for sharing your experience. Have you looked around to see if you can answer some more questions?
I know I read that someplace too, that a 30 day lens can be worn 30 times if you don't wear them every day, but I can't find anything to quote for you.
I went to Pearle a long time ago, and I can't remember specific details about my time there, so I'm probably not the best source. I went to Yelp for a store in Chicago and it got 2.5 out of five...
I think "Grafic" is a good name. People think glasses are ugly, but how can they be ugly if their graphic?
Thanks for the info, Snowflake. I know I can trust a man who designs trains to design my glasses as well.
You're right Snowflake. Those nose pads are quite comfortable.
I'm glad I could help. It looks like you may need to find some replacement lenses. You might try Lens.com, the sponsor of Lens 101.
It's good to have you on board, nicole420pm
So much for "reliable." I don't know of any contact lens companies that still have the original Mels. I figure there must be a reason why they stopped selling them. Apparently they're flawed in some...
One of the problems I've seen here is that people forget that colored contact lenses have to be fitted by an eye doctor just like clear contact lenses. They think they can just borrow their friend's...
Everybody?
What do you need to know?
So what you're saying in this post is that hybrid contact lenses are useful for keratoconus, presbyopia and all that other stuff you listed?
It looks as though this forum is working for you, mtcoco82, You got an answer pretty quickly. I hope it was a useful one.
When you come to this forum, do you just start at the top with the most recent posts and work your way down, or do you search for a particular topic? I'm a top-down kinda guy myself.
I miss karol.beck. Don't you?
What were some of the other ridiculous things people do with contact lenses on that tweet?
Thanks for getting back to us. I guess things are going pretty well for you. Does your son wear contact lenses, too?
A "soup can in a snowball." Good idea, Steuhrob.
How about a picture of the surface of Venus is glorious technicolor?
Have you tried those Acuvue 2 Colors - Opaque contacts yet?
Good, I hope that was just some kind of freak thing that doesn't happen again.
Yeah, and maybe a closer look at your eyes. That picture up there reveals some . . . distractions. :o
I know what you mean. I see a nice forum with friendly people willing to help me with my contact lens questions, and they see an opportunity to sell their irrelevant crap or just be a nuisance.
You pass the Brit Test. You can keep your passport and as a bonus you get a burgundy passport with some mythical creatures on the front.
Good to know, Timbo59.
I hope those new lenses help you to see that picture of a rocket propelled grenade in action up there.
Those numbers you gave are very high. They're so high that I think you left out some decimal...
Thanks for that valuable information, AGBear976. I hope others can use this information for more comfortable eyes.
Welcome to Lens 101, ecaldwell. I read your question and them went to Lens.com to see what other vial lenses were available and it was like some virulent disease swept over the page, leaving a trail...
That's very odd for a veteran contact lens wearer such as yourself to have ill-fitting contact lenses now. Have you been back to your eye doctor to check the fit on those Waicon lenses yet?
Yeah the blue contact lens looks really nice, except it's in IluvRick's right eye. Our left her right.
Hi there skirrel. Welcome to Lens 101.
Since I'm not a doctor, I don't know why only your left eye feels tight and dry. Maybe that lens doesn't fit properly. Have you tried a different one? If...
This is a long thread, so I didn't do a thorough search, but I didn't find the part that said that non-prescription contact lenses aren't safe. I think someone said that they ordered contact lenses...
Hi there CLSC. Thanks for joining us on this forum.
I'm trying to think of what color you're looking for, but I'm having a hard time with your description. I wonder if it would help if you would...
Welcome to Lens 101, lovecontacts. I hope you're willing to answer some questions here, too.
It's hard to say what's causing your headaches and heavy eyelids without more information. The only thing...
Grey contact lenses don't have to look scary on Asians.
Hi lovecontacts. I'm glad you found us one way or another.
I don't understand why you're afraid to go back to contact lenses. Was it a bad experience the last time you wore them?
Let me see if I follow you. People who wear glasses obviously need some kind of vision correction, but if a person does not want others to know that they need correction they wear contacts, right?
Those contact lenses are a nice color on you. To me they look blue and grey. Up close in those pictures your brown eyes are visible though the pupil hole, but it's probably less noticeable from a...
Have you tried those Premio lenses yet, or is it still research at this point?
I came across the same thing regarding eye surgery, Ace. It seems that the Internet cannot comprehend any reason anyone would have eye surgery if they didn't have cataracts.
Lenses that match those numbers.
Um, you should by contact lenses that fit those numbers. Your question is a bit like me asking you "I wear a size 9. What shoes should I buy?"
You would probably want to know if I want dress shoes...
Yes, it probably would be better to recognize an inverted contact lens right away just by looking at it so you don't even have to fold it.
Hi Jonnie. Welcome to Lens 101. Sorry to hear about that painful incident. You said you followed your doctor's instructions, but maybe he or she forgot to tell you to rinse the lenses before you put...
It seems to me that people wear bifocal contact lenses to read, and the upper part is just clear. With these bifocal contact lenses, do you use them to correct both near and far seeing?
These multifocal lenses make the extravagant claim that they can help you to both read and see things far away with the same lens. Those of you who wear them, how well do they work? Can they correct...
Do you have any hobbies or are you involved in any activities that are helped by wearing Air Optix Aqua Multifocal contact lenses?
Well, I turned 36 several years ago, and I'm not slowing down yet. It's true I never was moving very fast to begin with . . .
I was wondering about the same thing, 321contacts. What is the right...
What's the difference between Vertex Toric and Vertex Toric XR? Is there a huge difference in the price? If you use Vertex Toric XR, does that mean that you can't use Vertex Toric?
Can anyone explain what the "XR" stands for in Proclear Toric XR? Is it something that you have found to e absolutely vital for your contact lens comfort?
Many people try brand after brand of contact lenses, trying to find something that helps them see clearly and stays comfortable all day long. Maybe you're even one of those people yourself. Or...
If your eyes feel dry while wearing Hydrocurve 3 Toric lenses, I heard that you should get some eye drops that specifically mention a lubricant on the bottle. They warned against getting drops that...
Have you noticed that when you wear Durasoft 2 Optifit Toric contact lenses, your eyes don't feel as dry as when you wear a different brand?
Most of us are bargain-hunters, I would think. We'll buy a certain brand or shop in a particular store if it will save some money. How does that apply to wearing Biofinity Toric contact lenses? Are...
I saw this section here in Lens 101 for Silsoft Super Plus Kids contact lenses and I had to wonder why you need special contact lenses for kids. I can't imagine any way of making contact lenses easy...
There are a number of supplements and vitamins that are advertised as being beneficial for eye health. Do any of you you out there take any kind of supplements that really make your Vantage contact...
Does your health insurance cover the cost of your Vantage Accents contact lenses? If not for the lenses themselves, what about doctor's visits.
Do you have money stashed away someplace to make sure you can buy your next bottle of Vantage Thin Accents? You don't have to tell me where it's hidden, just if you've got some savings.
A lot of companies are offering a Flexible Spending Account where money is deducted from their paycheck and deposited into a special account that can be used for any number of things. Many people use...
Thanks for your help oingoboingo. I probably should have recapped that post myself.
Yeah, it's not like people are afraid to come on this site to report a problem with their contact lenses.
Go a head and ramble. You're almost at your 15 post minimum and we love seeing members' pictures. Especially those members with a word like "babe" in their screen name. ;)
Let me see if I can help by quoting from this article from an website provided by the University of Illinois in Chicago.
The first rigid corneal contact lens – commonly called the "hard lens" –...
How about looking at some of the color contact lenses offered by the sponsor, Lens.com? They don't sell Solotica lenses, but they've got quite a variety to choose from. That can probably get them to...
Have you had a problem with some kind of "crud" building up on the surface of your Fluorex 700 contact lenses? Were you able to find a product that can clean that gunk off?
I've never worn RGP lenses before, but I'm told that once you get the hang of putting them in, they become comfortable pretty quickly. Has that been your experience? How long does "pretty quickly"...
I've heard that when you wear soft lenses and you blink, it slightly distorts the shape of the lenses and there's a quick moment of blur--maybe just a split second. Apparently that doesn't happen...
What are these lenses like to sleep in? Are they as comfortable at night as they are during the day? Have any of you stopped wearing your Night & Day lenses at night for some reason?
In an article that compares hard and soft lenses, it was said that soft lenses may not allow your corneas to get enough oxygen. Is that really true in the case of Vertex Sphere contacts, or is it...
When did you first start wearing Biomedics EP contact lenses? What was your first impression? Do you still wear them today?
Tell us about the transition from glasses to Avaira contact lenses. What was it like for you? What surprised you the most? Were there any disappointments? Would you recommend the switch overall?
I think 99% of the people who wear ClearSight 1-Day contact lenses do so to avoid wearing glasses. I want you to tell all those people out there in TV Land why you think wearing your contact lenses...
How do you like your TruEye contacts? Do they stay moist throughout the day?
It looks like you beat me to it, Zoey. Nice work.
Do you have any more pictures of you and your eyes and your daughter? Maybe a nice outdoor picture where we can see what kind of area you live in. It would also be good to see how your contacts look...
Look at you, Peezdispenser89. You are just too gorgeous. How have you been? It's been a while since you've posted anything in this thread. Do you still wear those Sterling Gray FreshLook ColorBlends?
Hi nebula. What's going on with you? You look so pretty with those blue eyes. Do you get a lot of compliments and appreciative looks when you wear them? Remember, just because a guy doesn't...
Who can forget such a handsome guy from Hawaii?
How have you been, Eltonlani? Are you still wearing FreshLook ColorBlends?
Near the bottom of the page on this website is a section that says "Bookmark This Site." Then it has icons for various websites like Digg, Google, Technorati and MSN Live. I've seen it before, but...
I'm glad you wrote that, Kamille206. It seems like Lens.com carries just about any brand or color of contact lens you want--except Solotica, and then it seems like every third person who posts on...
I saw your picture in another thread and I wanted to see if you'd posted anything recently. That's when I found this--your 80th post. Congratulations and thanks for the great pictures and...
Ah, the never-ending quest for contact lenses that are both comfortable and able to give clear focus. I wish you well in your quest, Red. I look forward to hearing more from you.
So that's what the "rule" is, that toric corneas are usually, as a rule, steeper in the vertical axis than in the horizontal?
Like a teed-up football?
All hail the British Bowler Hat Team!
Playing their hits "Young Fingers Get Burnt" and "Prison Of Love" just for you!
Boy, Google has everything!
Probably by their shape, as seen in post #7 above.
Thanks for that link, Privateyez. I checked it out and it seems that "Klingons4Peace" suggested that cross eyes not sleep in those contact lenses. I wonder if it helped?
That's a very good point, StairMaster71. You don't have to spend all that money on contact lenses to have blurry vision.
You had to go there, didn't you? "She walked away." Very funny.
At least Lab Coat Girl said I was cute.
That's probably a good idea. The important thing is that the glasses look good.
Good thing you explained. It looked for a moment like you were trying to steal monikpage's compliment. :p
I'm sure your contacts look beautiful to. Are you planning on posting a picture or two as...
What happened to those pictures, acer? Are you still at work and haven't gone home yet?
I saw that site, too, and when I saw "3 years advantage in the market" that just means that they've been selling Oasys for three years by the time Oasys came along. I don't think it has anything to...
You didn't happen to get a phone number, did you?
So you've given up on the Acuvue Advance? Or are you going to wear that in one eye and Biofinity in the other, since you mentioned monovision.
So do we know how to spot an inside out contact lens now?
. . . although in the case of Lady Gaga there, the wide-eyed look comes from special contact lenses.
