Do the words "Korean factory" scare anybody here? It doesn't bother me personally, but there are a lot of proud Americans who refuse to buy anything that's not made in the USA.

Good questions, Pudgefisk. You're right, too. 51% would be considered a "majority." That would still mean that there are almost as many unhappy people as happy people, though.
Thank you for explaining that, Clearlab. If base curve is not the first thing that doctors look for when determining which lens to fit a patient with, what is the first thing?
Welcome to Lens 101. I'm glad you decided to join us here. Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?
That's a tough lesson to learn. I guess you just call it "experience" and move on.
Wow, you've really been having problems, haven't you? That's got to be very frustrating. I hope you can finally find some contact lenses that are suitable. Thanks for letting us know about the...
Many of us are familiar with the "dog ate my homework" excuse. Has anyone ever really used that?
Closer to home, have you had to go to your eye doctors office and tell them honestly that the dog...
The modern shopping mall is truly a marvel. Where else can you get caramel corn, a couple of CDs, a swimsuit calendar, a reversible drill, and a shoulder massage all under one roof? That's right. The...
I was browsing through a Web page that listed optional extras you can have added to your glasses. One of them was an "Anti-radiation Coating" for $9.99. What's that for? Can they protect you in a...
Are your glasses tinted? What color? Anything besides the usual grey?
I went to the Versace website, but I couldn't find any eyeglasses there. They have all kinds of "accessories" included on the site, but no glasses. Anybody know where they keep the Versace glasses?
You know, I can't find any information about anyone named "Vera Page" that has anything to do with sunglasses.
I agree 321contacts. Sunglasses should be balanced and proportionate.
These are not. They make him look like a clown.
Right, yeah. I HATE it when that happens.
Howstuffworks.com says "If you live near the ocean, your [metal sunglasses] could be susceptible to rust due to the high salt content of the humid ocean air."
Do you have some kind of documentation of this that we can read, luvbostonxo2's?
Oh, you know they do. :)
Thanks, KITT. Maybe I will! :D
Which model are those glasses you're talking about, Scienceguy?? The model number usually starts with "RY"
Well, I guess they all can't be winners.
I wear glasses, but neither one of my parents did. I think my Mom was just too stubborn.
Not me. I'm not sure what brand my glasses are.
Can't say that I have, Wheatgrass, but I hope we'll be reading some cutesy stories soon.
I'm not wearing any glasses right now. Nice try, though.
Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but I don't really notice my diet affecting my vision. Maybe I should be more observant.
I'd like to respond to your question, Wheatgrass, but I'm afraid you've limited your audience to people who wear Royal Doulton glasses, and I've never even heard of them.
For what it's worth, I...
How can you tell it's "staff" posting here? All those questions that don't have any answers?
Thanks for all the pictures. This won't help to sell any contact lenses, but I really like your natural eye color.
I went to that site and maybe it's just my monitor, but a lot of those colors look the same to me. Warm Hazel, Hippie Chestnut and Perky Brown all just look brown.
Hm. Too bad I can't see the picture.
Do you have an answer to that "small, medium or large" question, preety?
Why is a place called "Oakland Eye Clinic" located in Rochester Hills, Michigan?
Not knowing anything about eye medication, I did what any experienced forum contributor would do: I checked Wikipedia. They said
"Mast cell stabiliser medications include:
Cromoglicic acid...
Oh, I know. I did a search, but it wasn't until I went to eBay that I found glasses with women's names such as Clementine, Juliet and Penelope.
My guess is that you lost a pair before the year was up. Is that correct, Unicorn3?
This is true. Just because these glasses are called "Martini" doesn't mean you have to drink them whenever you wear them.
While we wait for your pictures, here is an advertisement for those Wöhlk lenses. (How did you do that umlaut? I just copied the name from your post.)
Thanks for sharing the good news with us. I'm glad you were able to find something that worked, and that you decided to share it with the good folks at Lens 101.
Thanks for that short description of what bifocals are. Thank you also for not trying to sell Viagra here.
Well, as with any decision, you have to weigh your options and look at the outcomes. The first question I would ask you is, what would be worse, having the surgery, or continuing to have poor vision...
So you want us to help you find a better doctor to help you with your burning red eyes?
Well, they're probably not "good for you" like broccoli or jogging, but there are medicated contact lenses if you need some kind of eye drops.
They also preserve your good looks. ;)
Hi Adireksam. Welcome to Lens 101. I'm guessing you don't normally type in English. Do you have a question we can help you with? We're pretty good at answering questions around here.
That's a good illustration; it demonstrates the twisty temples and shows the name.
I looked into this issue and almost all of the article talk about bangs that cover one eye, Unicorn 3 said "eyes."
Those particular frames would have an enhancing effect, I should think.
So whom do I report the Grammar Police to. Shouldn't it be "you 'll find ME behind this great pair of Christie Brinkleys?"
This thread is beginning to sound like a Benny Hill sketch.
I can't imagine anything else a glasses-wearer might want.
Wow, thanks Uhura. I didn't know there were so many coatings available.
That's weird. I had no idea oxygen can permanently change the shape of your eyes. What about all those people who spend time in hyperbaric chambers?
Chelsee to the rescue.
Ah. That explains a lot.
Hey, thanks for that groovy recipe man. Is there covalent bonding involved?
Oh so when you peel the sticky lenses off of your fingers you might accidentally turn them inside out?
Have you picked up a couple boxes of Natural Touch/Elegance Opaque?
How are things going, Carar07. Do you still like those Air Optix Aquas?
The Royal Remover - Get Yours Today.
That's a good question, Captainteneel. I like the way you worded that. Now we just have to wait for an answer.
I sure hope you don' t have to spin it by hand.
I suppose that's better than putting on one pair of contacts to read and another to drive or watch TV.
That's probably what they mean, RacerX.
I'll do my best, Fresa.
Ready guys?
Wow, do you all realize that as of the time of me typing this up it's been three years since we heard from psimonk in this thread?
Yay Lucyfur!
Okay well if your vision is blurred when you wear those lenses then I guess you should take them back to your doctor and have the prescription checked.
Okay, I was being silly. I tried to look at those "in depth reviews" on Lensaholics, but I couldn't find the page. The only thing that came up was a page that tried to sell me a Black & Decker...
Yes! Buy American! :D
Happy New Year. Thank you.
Typically contact lenses that come six in a box like Air Optix For Astigmatism are 1-2 week lenses. This means that if you wear them overnight they can last for a week....
I can just see someone wearing those things and saying "trust me, I know what I'm doing."
Why would anyone need the magnifying part on the top of the lenses?
That's true, a bottle of eye drops is far more cost effective than new contact lenses.
I would think that seeing things with 20/20 vision is about as good as it gets. You can't get much more hi-definition than that, can you?
For me it wasn't a big shock when my doctor told me I had to wear glasses because my inability to see the chalk board at school is what prompted my visit. I was kind of relieved, actually.
Thanks for the link, lurker2010.
Does that thing run on batteries?
What brand are you going to try next?
That's a nice picture which was clearly taken from a website and probably taken by a professional photographer. That's why I'm so disappointed that there's so much glare in the model's eyes. I can...
So you're saying the first picture is of Topazio lenses and the second one is Solflex? They both look really nice. They don't look "harsh" to me. Are you going to keep them or try something else?
That's probably a good point, CLSC. Suppose you showed it to an eagle-eyed associate, or maybe your near vision was still pretty good? Would you (or they) be able to see the zones?
Thanks, nicole420pm. I checked around and it seems that Solotica Hidrocharme come in diameters of either 14.0 or 14.2. FreshLook Colors come in 14.5, Expressions Colors come in 14.4, and FreshLook...
Here's a picture of a young lady I found on line who is modeling Soflens Natural Colors in platinum.
How often would you say you wore those contact lenses, sylvia? More than once week?
That's cool. Which is your favorite color? I like the name of "Hippie Brown." Here he is now.
Very funny, mayibfrank. Girls like a guy with a sense of humor, you know.
So it's "six of one, half a dozen of the other" for you then? You could wear either of those brands?
Is there any chance that you can go back to those Preference Toric lenses? I don't think it matters whether or not they're silicone hydrogel. As long as you're comfortable, and they actually help you...
I'm glad too. Not only that two-way communication has been established on this thread, but it's also nice to know that I was able to do some good around here.
Still no reply from mik so far. I'm not sure what to make of that.
Hopefully Iseeall's question was purely theoretical and they were asking just in case that actually happened. It's a good idea to ask questions like that before they're no longer theory and become a...
Interesting. How do you find out about a company's reputation? Does Lens 101 have a good reputation?
That's a good point, naturallygood. People can choose to participate in experiments--or not.
I think I covered all the bases, haven't I?
I think I'd prefer to avoid all manner of shots.
I think that's pretty much true, Captain K. A typical dude wouldn't mind a few changes here and there, but not if it came from his own pocket.
You're welcome, vanessakogut. Keep those good questions coming.
That's right. That's what I said. So how about it, skatts?
Well, nobody so far. How about now?
So does anyone else have an answer to my question? PrincePlanet, how about you?
No, I didn't find anything. That's why I was hoping that dlawrence50 came up with something.
Okay, so can we get back to Moneyfornothin's question about the Royal Remover?
