Sure, those glasses are almost invisible, but I don't think a person would really feel "naked" while wearing them.

I didn't actually order these glasses, but I went to a website and I had the option of checking a box for reading glasses.
I think "stainless steel" is the color, BTW.
. . . and it was worth the wait, boy.
I agree, Garfield21. I think those rectangular Casino Budget glasses would look good on a round face.
If they paid all of their customers or advertising, they'd probably each get a check for about six cents.
No, the ones I asked about look like normal glasses, but I think they discontinued them. Thanks for trying.
I see that the picture you posted has a "Frames Direct" watermark, so I went there and didn't find any Captain America glasses in any size.
That's a pretty cool app, catt. I see you're looking as good as ever. Maybe we'll start getting more pictures like those around here.
A "fashion freak" who sometimes wears glasses, huh? I guess glasses as well as attitudes have come a long way since I was teased for wearing them.
So this Clear Care I keep hearing about is good stuff then?
We do get some ECPs here on the forum, but you're right, Lens 101 is intended for non-professionals to use. I don't know if non-professionals would feel as comfortable on a website like that right...
The logic is probably correct, however, as Bootz pointed out, the legality of such a step may be in question. If you order contact lenses and just tell them you want them in a -2.50 prescription,...
So Bootz got all that technical Dk/t stuff right then?
Thanks for sharing your experience in such a well-written post, and the picture. Definitely a unique look. Please tell me it's part of a costume. :)
I quite agree. It's tempting to try and find a shortcut for getting those beautiful contact lenses, but it's best to take it slow and do it right. The end result is much better.
Will eye drops help this dry eye issue?
We've got members here from around the world. Do you ship glasses outside the US?
I'm sure I've read about this somewhere else on Lens 101. Have you searched this forum for an answer? If you can't find one that's here already, honestly for a question like this it would be better...
So does that mean that a person with larger than average pupils will just have to leanr to ignore these halos--or else take the contacts out after dark and wear glasses?
That sounds like a "win" to me, sac78.
Hi caryn. Welcome to Lens 101. Did you say that your eye doctor gave you a second pair of lenses that were "super comfortable" but your doctor changed them again because they did not come in your...
Can you save money by getting the regular formula and adding a bit of water for the diluted contact lens formula?
"Chord." That's interesting. I never heard that word before used in the context of a contact lens. I've learned something today.
Will the doctor prescribe a lens with a base curve of 8.3?
Oh, I scrolled. I enjoyed seeing all the pictures of Deejayt on my way down, though. :)
I don't think Americans are too crazy about them either. However, in those times when I actually would like to talk to a sale associate, there's never any around.
I love that little pout in the top picture.
So thecure is satisfied and gratified.
You didn't tear them though, did you?
I came, I copied, I pasted.
Nice pictures, Amanda. :)
"There's website called Lens 101 that's all about contact lenses? I've got to check that out! Good thing I read this newspaper!"
I didn't know that. Thanks sylvia.
So much for the "best toric lenses available." I hope one of those other brands has what you're looking for.
It's storage, and it's a cleaner. Now how much would you pay?
But wait, there's more! If you call within the next sixty seconds, you also get . . .
What do you mean "chipping"? Did a small piece come off like this colorful chipped mug here?
Thanks for the link, ICU2.
Contact lenses are safer than glasses, right? At least for playing sports?
Yes, indeed. It's a beautiful snowy owl. It's just so . . . white.
No help here. Where is everybody? Doesn't anyone wear monthly contact lenses?
Apparently no one knows . . .
So that's it? One answer in four years?
It sounds like you have it figured out pretty well, Wookiee74.
Your title puzzles me but your post is quite clear. Thank you for posting.
How's it going snowwwy. We haven't heard from you in a while. Do you still feel free without glasses?
Here's a picture of a snowy owl for you.
It's been six months at this point and we still haven't heard anything new from Cocopalm.
This is the second time you posted this. Are you going to finish your thought? What about the two choices?
Welcome to Lens 101, julin. It's good to have another doctor here on the forum. Keep answering questions, there are a lot of them that still need answers.
That's probably true, but you know how people are. I can see someone buying kellyboo's lenses and then saying "Help! Police! This crazy person sold me used contact lenses and didn't even ask to see...
Wonderful. That works great. :)
Yes, it's like that K.I.S.S thing. The nicer version of it is "Keep It Simple, Simple."
Of course, saying "simple" a second time makes it needlessly complicated, so . . .
Great! Looking forward to it.
I've heard of placing a drop of solution in your contact lenses, and I guess if it doesn't burn your eyes, you're okay. Eyes are pretty good about letting us know when they're not happy.
You sound like a good candidate to me. You sound like you're self aware and you're probably mature enough to take care of your lenses. Have you talked to your eye doctor yet about multifocal contact...
I guess we wait for Tigger to tell us about his or her friend, huh?
I'm glad this is a friendly site where most of the time you can make a mistake without being ridiculed.
That would be pretty cool, wouldn't it? "Doctor recommended Lens 101!"
Yeah did you do a Google search or something?
Right, because if monthly lenses are better in every way, then that would mean that daily lenses are not better in any way, right?
Was this ten foot "stalker" rule for American stores or German? Wouldn't the German associates be instructed to go no closer than 3 meters away?
I did a Google search and guess what? I did actually find several entries for "phome parties." You win!
Obviously it does happen, but probably not often. I'm not really sure how they would get inside out in the first place.
Keep up the good work.
It's okay, NYGiants. Just win the Superbowl and we'll forgive you. :)
I would imagine it means five boxes per eye, RacerX. That seems to be the smallest unit they sell.
It sounds like a name for a king's bodyguard. :D
Are you asking dlawrence50, or just anyone who read your post? Me, personally, I have not tried monovision contact lenses. It sounds like a strange concept, too. Using one eye for near and the other...
Wow, that was fast. Thanks patresh.
Yeah, nice lens pictures. I can see that "margin" of no color that you mentioned.
It's been a while since you posted those pictures on this forum. Are you still wearing those Brilliant Blue lenses?
I'm glad you feel better Mau1wurf1977.
Here's a picture from that page you referenced:
Yeah, this guy looks like he's about to turn completely green and hulk-like.
Yes, that would have to be a very strange prescription.
Nurses are terrific, but their expertise in medicine doesn't always translate into grammatical correctness. :)
That's right. Me neither, nakedeyes.
I know. Sorry.
So what is the name of this "moist contact multi cleaning and soaking solution"? I'm sure there are others on this site who would like their lenses to feel great.
So that's what it would have looked like if I had been watching Doctor Who in 1967, huh?
Be right back . . .
...
Thanks for checking back, Pandy.
Thanks, BigJim. Now I just need someone to answer my question, just above your reply there.
So is that 5% of the total population, or 5% of those who wear contact lenses?
Good call, Vita_man.
Hand on my heart, Purpleiris.
I'd settle for an ordinary can of Diet Doc right now.
Anybody know what happened to Aspartame, who started this thread?
I searched but I couldn't find a simple explanation of what a "lens matrix" is. I'm sure luvbostonxo2's will do better.
Yes, tell us what an "optical zone" is.
Hopefully the new lenses will help you to put capital letters where they belong, ay? ;)
I have a feeling you're going to order your contact lenses from someone else, next time.
What a great site. You're all so concerned about each others safety.
I think you may need to check your own ingredients. "'Goof' idea"? :D
I knew this guy once, every time you tell him about something you own, even if you just say "I tripped over my exercise bike this morning," he liked to ask "how much did it cost?"
He's got a...
Thanks, SteveKemp, although I may have been a little too specific. I probably would have gotten a response or two if I would have gone to the General section and asked "who here wears contact lenses...
Wow, those aren't just dark brown, they're black.
Yeah, the lenses on the left seem to have a greenish "halo" around the pupil that's not visible in the other picture.
Sylvia . . . you're going to make me blush. :o
Yeah, but what does it mean? It sounds like a good reason to wear glasses.
I guess you did all you can do, KIBADE. I don't suppose there are any options for next day delivery or express mail or anything like that?
I suppose there are English speaking contact lens wearers even in Portugal.
Awesome. That's good to know. Can we get more testimony from Biofinity fans out there?
I wish Bensica would have named his or her source for those statistics. Where did you get your numbers from, luvbostonxo2's? I suppose you have access to research materials that mere mortals are...
