Is there any chance you can go back to the eye doctor you were happy with?
You're in luck. Luvbostonxo2's is probably the most knowledgeable peer we have around here.
I guess Capri Optics glasses are not a best seller.
It's strange that no one in town will fit you with RGP lenses. I take it you don't like the Acuvue Oasys lenses?
I've never personally tried any kind of "eye exercises" to improve my vision because I'm afraid that I'll spend a lot of money for a book or video about the exercises, only to have them not work....
I looked these sunglasses up and on the first website that came up I saw that they were selling for $300. I wonder if you could get insurance for these. Not that I would buy them for myself. I think...
I'm not sure how to answer that question as a person who doesn't wear color contacts, though it's a common question. The only think I can think of to do would be to keep a tab open here, open another...
Here's what those "Azul" lenses look like:
Looks like I found another sci-fi thread.
This isn't exactly sci-fi but . . . excellent.
I found this in another post. I hope it helps. " . . . you can use that as an inversion mark. This sounds complicated, but...
If you hold the lens with the hashes down and the conVEX side towards...
Sometimes it takes several tries to get just the right lenses in just the right prescription. Be patient and I hope you find something soon.
Well today is Monday and I hope we'll be hearing good news from you soon.
It's interesting that CibaVision has a brand of lenses that are not sold in the US. Does anyone know where they're made?
Let's hope those Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia contacts are the lenses that will finally help you see things near and far and be comfortable at least in good weather.
Awesome. Let's hear it for Walmart. What brand of contact lenses did you wind up buying?
At Lens.com you can buy the three pairs of contact lenses for five dollars more than the price that willomina1990 quoted for one pair. I know you asked about only one pair, but contact lenses don't...
Wow, if you can wear contact lenses comfortably, I bet anyone can. You even wear gas permeable lenses--and "tons of makeup." We're glad you're here, patresh.
Try this page. They've got pictures of 17 different models of Police sunglasses.

I thought I'd educate my friends here on Lens 101 with a map showing Byron Bay. In my search I found a picture of a couple of young ladies wearing bikinis at Byron Bay that were apparently made of...
Wow, creepy. That sounds terrible. I'm afraid I've never heard of anything like that before, but I think someone here will be able to help you. Hang in there. Help is on the way.
I hope you'll stay with us and let us know if you find anything you like. Don't forget to check out Lens.com.
Here's a thread that has a picture of some of those Freshkon lenses. You'll have to scroll down to about the 50th post, though.
...
Thanks for your unbiased review, sylvia. Have you given up on American contact lenses?
Let us know what kind of response you get, won't you?
So are you saying that companies that have Chinese writing on their packaging are disreputable?
To go back to Joeyrosschandler's example, if someone offers a child candy from their car, who is it hurting? What motivation would a child have to eat candy offered by someone they don't know? It's...
Boy, that's too bad. I wonder why the US abandoned annual contact lenses?
Let's see how the rest of us do. (You've got a 50/50 shot at this one.) Which one is the Freshlook ColorBlends Blue and which one is the Acuvue 2 Colors Opaque in Blue (Deep Blue)?
...
I never thought about that. Thanks for bringing it up.
Wow. You would think that the person would have blinked reflexively when that squash racket was approaching. Maybe it just happened that fast.
What about my rope question mark, Stairwaytoheaven? Don't you think that's clever?
Trust, me, I need all the help I can get. :o
That makes sense, CLF. If it's not protein on your lenses, then I guess protein remover won't help remove the stain.
Here we see supermodel Heidi Klum greeting her nerd fan base in the traditional fashion.
It could be due to the fact that I spelled it "Apertame." :o
I really don't think so.
Could be, or maybe that warning comes from people who are paranoid of contact lenses in general and they're uneasy about the whole idea of sleeping in them.
Perhaps he needs help at being new.
It's been more than five months so far.
You've got about four months' worth of answers here, doublehelix. Has any of it been helpful to you?
Well, djezewski said "no problem" so I suppose it didn't hurt.
We still need to hear from the one person who can truly answer this question . . .
This isn't exactly what you asked for, but it is interesting . . .
That should be enough of those blue pills for now. I'll be back next week for a refill. :p
First of all let me say that I'm sorry you're having difficulty seeing your computer monitor even with contact lenses. Then let me take the conservative approach and suggest that you try the glasses...
That sounds scary, but what about those lenses that are made to be slept in? Some people say that you shouldn't even sleep in those.
Yeah, this is a great website, but it's not a substitute for spending time with your doctor.
Good, Claggart. Thanks for telling us about a product that works for you. It's always nice to read positive reviews.
Thanks Maxumized. You sure know a lot about Clear Care. Do you use it yourself?
Okay, but how does placing "an illuminated object of known size at a known distance p from the cornea" and all that accomplish this?
It's good to have a goal, I guess. :)
That doesn't sound so bad. When you say your eyes didn't "feel right," it wasn't actual pain was it? Just some discomfort?
This thread has a lot of loose ends.
Actually, I'm glad Bootz stepped in. This post was already over twenty posts long, and it doesn't take very much to change the whole course of a thread. It's good to have someone who is able to get...
Yeah, you know that was the real secret to Clark Kent's super strength. It was the contact lenses.
So let's hope that the new lenses that katkatkat switched to are the ones that will work best.
Okay, back to your question. You want to see how FreshLook ColorBlends contact lenses will look on eyes that are hazel. Here's a picture of a young lady with dark brown eyes wearing Hazel lenses. One...
Did you indeed find that thread helpful, doublehelix.
Here's a double helix for you.
Yeah, I do. I didn't actually say that before.
How are you, Apertame? Have you been wearing those Acuvue Oasys lenses comfortably now?
So much for wrapping this with a "nice shiny bow." That was post #37 where I tried to bring this thing in for a landing. Now here I am adding post #66.
Have you had any problems with you Biomedics Toric contact lenses because you tried to take a shortcut? You bought some cheap solution, or tried to wear them longer than you were supposed to? What...
These contact lenses are a type that can be slept in if the patient desires and the doctor approves. How do they feel when you sleep in them? Do they feel perfectly fine in the morning or are they a...
When you wash your hands while you're in the process of putting your Air Optix Night & Day Aqua contact lenses in or taking them out, what kind of towel do you use to dry your hands? Do you have some...
When your doctor gave you your prescription for Biomedics EP contact lenses, did he or she also tell you what product you should use to clean them?
For those of you who don't know, "jelly bumps" are little bumpy deposits on contact lenses. They're also called "lens calculi." Has anyone encountered these on their Avaira contact lenses? How did...
The irritation may be beyond Deb55's belief, but not mine.
Hi there SFLADY81. Welcome to our forum. Where did you find those pictures of contact lenses on brown eyes? They've got a few pictures like that here, you know.
That thread is about someone who was having problems with lens deposits.
You will probably have to edit the picture on your own computer and then re-post it. When you do though, post it again in a new message. If you just fix the picture up there, then the comments that...
Has anyone heard from sweetie2040? There hasn't been anything in this thread from them since January.
So should Lens 101 members take their contacts out before showering?
Thanks for being the voice of experience, Shamrocker. That thing looks like the Clear Care system to me as well.
I can see why you're being cautious, Shamrocker, but a swimming pool with the proper chlorine levels should be okay as far as infections go. I'm just not sure if they'll float out of your eyes or...
It looks like you have a pretty good selection there, Roy. Are any of those sunglasses Spy brand?
I'm sorry things are not going well for you Diane. Unfortunately, everyone's different, so I can't really say "you'll be fine to drive in nine days" or whatever. I can tell you that it probably...
Hey, how about playing that bean bag game?
Thanks for the support--and the endorsement by Linda. She's kinda cute.
You're right that RGP lenses are custom made.
I was about to say that soft bifocal lenses aren't exactly "one size fits all," but I checked Lens.com and you're right. All but one of the brands...
Sorry about that Jemma.
Your question was about using spherical lenses if your prescription isn't very severe in the cylinder parameter, is that correct? Would doing that be economically...
Well, what are you waiting for? Let's see more posts. :) Just twelve more to go!
This site is really great about members' experiences. Not all of them are great, which tells me that they don't delete the bad ones.
Boy I hope your dentist is there for your next appointment . . .
I don't see how a bottle can "go the other way."
Like Barenaked Ladies and their "pre-wrapped sausages." Have you ever met a sausage that was "post-wrapped"?
That's probably a question for...
Have you tried the Visine yet, DarrenDM?
That guy with the glasses looks like me when I come in from a cold day.
Quick poll here. The girl in the picture has a cute smile and the guy looks crazy. Girls, do you think guys look good when...
What's the latest, Carlos? Are you able to read better now?
Well, you didn't have to look far, did you? :)
Are you okay, Aspartame?
I've got some of that in my Diet Dr. Pepper right here.
I only wish I had one of these . . .
I would think that the contact lenses would go on first, that way you could see where you were putting your lipstick and eye liner. Once the lenses were in your eyes there would be little danger of...
Hi there goldenspenz. Have you gotten your Illusions lenses yet? Please let us know what you think when you try them on.
I found this on Lens.com and I thought I'd pass it on:
"At Lens.com we’re committed to saving you money on your contact lenses. Federal law requires your eye care professional to provide you with...
I checked Lens.com and evidently it doesn't matter:
CIBA VISION has discontinued the sale of Hydrocurve II contact lenses. This was one of the oldest products manufactured by CIBA VISION. They...
Computer and iPhone text can be pretty small. Can you read larger print okay?
Not until now. :)
That's good to know. Tell us what you love about Lens 101.
Tiger's got some good suggestions there. It sounds to me like either bacterial conjunctivitis or blepharitis. See your doctor to make sure.
I found this thread here about omega 3 fatty acids and eye health.
http://www.lens101.com/general-eye-health/3078-omega-3-eye-health.html
I think I will have to agree with Tiger that the RGP lenses fits differently because they're smaller. When your doctor said that had a "textbook" fit, I just hope he was reading the right one. :)
I don't know about eye doctors, but Lens.com has a guarantee. I wish I could say that no one here on Lens 101 had to find out how they make good on that promise, but you know, stuff happens.
