SofLens 59 Lens Case as Long-Term Storage?

How long will SofLens 59 contacts stay fresh if you leave them in the case, undisturbed? What if you change the solution every so often?

The duration for SofLens 59 to stay fresh depends on how long the lens stays in the Case. For how long do you want it to stay undisturbed in the case?

Any air tight storage case should work fine, but the lenses will have to have water added to them periodically.

Be sure to clean them before wearing them, though. Bacteria can still accumulate in the case, the fluid in the case, and the lenses themselves.

I know it depends on how long the lens stays in the case, that's why I'm asking how long it will stay fresh.

Let me put it to you this way. What if you asked me "How long will this milk stay good in the refrigerator?" and I respond by saying "It depends on how long it's it the refrigerator"? Would you feel like your question had been answered?

That's the kind of answer I was looking for. Thank you very much, DianaR. The tip about adding water is very helpful. I'm curious about the bacteria thing, though. Aren't those cases airtight?
