Which do you find more disturbing, seeing your finger coming at your eye about to put something in, or seeing your fingers coming at your eye to pull something out?

I need some help. I can't get my 66 toric out of my right eye. I haven't worn them in months. They went in ok and were comfortable throughout the day. When I tried to take them out they were a little dry. I was in the high dry desert of California on a job interview. I live in Pittsburgh. The left one came out fine. The right one seems to stick to my eye. I used the saline solution to wet it and then a while later used wetting solution meant to wet the eye and lense. My eye got soar after trying to pick it out about 5 times. I left it alone and ended up sleeping in it over night. My right lid was swollen and my eye a little red upon waking up. By afternoon my eye was fine. I tried to take it out that evening with the help of the wetting solution but it failed. It moves a little but my eye is sore. So far I have slept in it for 3 nights. I read online that there is a suction cup to help soft lense wearers get their contacts out.

Any help is appreciated.

How are you Suzanne? Did you get that contact lens out?

In the future, I wouldn't recommend using an online forum for something like a stuck contact lens. Something like that can't wait for someone to log on and find your question, and then be able to provide a helpful answer. It would be better to ask someone in your family that lives with you to help you.

If there's nobody at home to help you, your next step would be to call your eye doctor.

If it's after hours and/or your eye doc isn't in, I'd suggest a trip to the emergency room. That's a much better plan than leaving it in your eye for several days. I hope you were able to get it out safely.
