Default Didja find something? If not....

I know it's been a while since you posted your question... but I was wondering if you had found anything you liked....? When I found out that B&L discontinued the Soflens 66, I ordered a whole bunch of boxes from 1-800-contacts. Of course, as luck would have it, my prescription changed! My eye doctor has tried several contacts on me, and so far, I've not found anything that fits as well as the 66s did. B&L recommends their: PureVision, Optima 38, SofLens 38 and their daily disposable, SofLens One Day. I tried the Optima 38 (which is the same as Soflens 38), and the PureVision, but neither of them worked for me. As a last resort, I will try the daily disposables because I figure I could probably get 3 days out of each one. (I read on line that one person uses them for a week!) Of course I would need to remove them each night & rub & soak them in solution. I had always stretched the SL66s to a month instead of the recommended 2 weeks and had never had any problems. My next course of action is to try CooperVision's ProClear Compatibles (62% water), as I read that they are really good for dry eye patients. And I also read that VisionStar by Soft Lens Technology (only $12 per box) is similar to the SL66. The PureVision ALMOST worked for me-- the principal behind that lens (as well as CooperVision's Focus Night & Day) is that it is made out of a new material that allows oxygen to get to the eye. The contact has a low water content because the real issue is not the water content, but how oxygen is getting to the eye. I've read that a higher water content only means there is more water that can be evaporated out. Still... my next course of action is to try the ProClears and see if they work.
