I'm looking for someone who wears Soflens 66 or any other comparable weekly contact lens. I read that when they say a contact is good for two weeks, that means 14 wears rather than 14 days. If you don't wear your contacts every single day, has anyone found a good way of keeping track of how many times you have worn them? I saw something on another thread about a contact lens case that comes attached to a timer, but I think that only counts the days, not the times worn. There may not be a nifty gadget for counting how many times you wear a certain pair of contacts, but is there another way? Thanks in advance for your help.

I know about the timers you're talking about. They're electronic and they're sort of like an alarm clock. If you start using a pair of lenses on the first of the month, the alarm will sound on the 15th to let you know it's time to replace your two week contacts. It doesn't matter how often you wore the contacts. Fourteen days are up, alarm sounds.
This thing I found is called the Count-It contact lens case. Most of the time, something being electronic is an advantage. In this . . . um . . . "case", the timer is manual. Each time you take the contacts out, whether it's been one day or five, you just move the little dial one notch. There ya go. It's only about ten bucks, too, so it's probably less expensive that the electronic ones, too. |
