Default SofLens Multi-Focal For Distance

How well do SofLens Multi-Focal contact lenses work when you're not reading? Seems to me that people generally use bifocal contact lenses for reading, and them take them off when they're done.
Since people tend to keep their contacts in as long as possible, I was wondering what bifocal contact lens users do when they're not reading or doing close work?

I am not sure I understand what it is you are asking. Muti focal contacts allow you see distance and up close. Or at least that is what the manufacture claims are. Normally it is a trade off. You have to give up some distance vision to see up close and you have to give up some up close to see better distance.

I think you understand my question for the most part. Have you ever tried to watch TV or just look across the room with readers on? It's very blurry. I was wondering about people who essentially have reading glasses built in (bifocal contacts). Do they take their contact lenses out to watch TV?

Bi-Focal contacts and Multi-Focal contacts are the same thing.

Default Bi-Focals = Multi-Focals?

According to lens.com: "Multi-Focal contact lenses feature an innovative optical design allowing you to see clearly at all distances - near, far, and everywhere in-between."

Meanwhile, "Bifocal contact lenses provide comfort and clarity for patients suffering from presbyopia." Presbyopia is another name for far sightedness, for those of you who don't know.

On lens.com, bifocals and multifocals are on the same page, but I don't think they're the same thing. Bifocals help you see in the distance and close enough to read, but the middle distances aren't so good. Multi-focals allow you to see near, medium and far distances. I guess it's kind of the difference between a crescent wrench and a socket wrench. Both will tighten a bolt, but a socket wrench is a bit more specialized.

Is that right? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
