Generally vision with contact will be better, but their could be a host of reasons why the vision wouldn't be as good. One common one is that you may have a slight correction for astigmatism, there are lenses that correct for astigmatism, but they are costly to the patient and they are only available in limited parameters, so if the fitter sees that you have very little astigmatism they somtimes will add about half of that power to the actual power of a regular spherical lens and get very similar resutls with half the fitting time and half the cost to you. That could explain one of the reasons as to why the vision may be unacceptabe to you, if the fit is off, the lens could also provide unstable vision, like the vision is clear when you blink and then slowly gets blurry again or the opposite the vision is clear untill you blink then the lens slowly goes back to clear again, this is often a characteristic of an unacceptable fit.
That's why all fitters want to see you back in a week or two. The idea is to allow enough time to see a reacton of your eye to the lens and your reaction to the lens. Make sure you go to your follow up visit and tell your eye care professional about the vision.
