Any life guards reading this?
What kind of contacts do you wear? Most people don't need to see very far when they swim. Heck, lots of people swim with their eyes closed. But for a lifeguard, vision is key, and the bright sunshine and the highly reflective water, not to mention the lack of shade, make for a tough environment for eyes. With all that you've got to be able to spot signs of trouble in the water. How do you do it? Just in forming the question I've begun to develop a whole new respect for life guards. |
