Default Contact Lense Removal Tool?

I'm having a terrible time removing my toric contacts (Air Optics)... especially the right one. I irritated my eyes so badly last week (after wearing 6 hours with total comfort), that I'm afraid to even put them back in. I fought the right one for an hour (using a huge amount of wetting solution) before dislodging it. I saw on an earlier (2007) post, that there is a removal-tool available. Is it still available? Seems our Optomotrists would keep them in stock for those of us who cannot overcome this problem!

Thanks for any info!

I know what you're talking about, Carmel, but I can't seem to find a picture of one of these little doodads. The closest thing I found was this thing:

However, this tool is meant to be used for hard contact lenses. I don't think they'd work for Air Optix lenses.

You're talking about that little blue thing, right?

Try an eye pod. It works for soft or hard contact lenses and works much better than the other devices that are available. Find them on ebay or amazon. magiceyepod .com
