Thumbs up Custom Colored Torics - FOUND USA SUPPLIER

After reading many forums, searching online for custom colored toric lenses, and finally calling CIBA vision; I have found a provider! I'm so excited that I joined this forum just to share it others who share my frustration and cannot find colored torics in high cylinders.

CIBA vision suggested I check with Marietta Vision. Their website is (mariettacontactlens). They do make custom colored contacts, including torics with high cylinders. Somehow Orion Vision Group is their company with its own website (orionvisiongroup). I emailed them for instructions on ordering, and they referred me to Marietta Optometry, and their website is (mariettaoptometry). The cosmetic colored contacts on their website do not list parameters for cylinders, but I was instructed to contact Jessica at (866) 300-6257. Jessica asked that I email her my prescription and she will contact me shortly about pricing and options for colored torics. My fingers are crossed because I don't have confirmation yet, but after reading all 3 websites I do not foresee any complications. BTW, my cylinders are -2.75 & -3.25.

I hope this is successful, and that my post is a saving grace for others like me.

You might want to do a little more research (hoping you haven't already completed your order). I have read about a few really negative experiences with Marietta, especially the unsatisfactory comfort level of their lenses. Some people have spent $500+ and the lenses are unwearable. Torics would probably be even more expensive. Try doing a search for "Marietta" on this forum. I'm almost sure some of the negative reviews were on here.

Ive never liked their opaque lenses but thier "EUROPA" lenses I have seen on quite a few patients. The material that they use for their opaque lenses is quite an older material, it is stiff and quite durable to deposits. The oxygen permeability of polymacon is very low but these lenses are verrrry durable. The material of which they are made does not have give like higher water content lenses in the 55% range. SO they have to fit pretty much bang on. The fitting base curve is median so it usually fits everyone. Polymacon lenses are not that good for someone with dry eye as they can dry out and tighten up.These lenses should not be worn more than 10 hours.

I have seen the EUROPA lenses on quite a few individuals and I think its a good replacement lens for Natural touch and Elegance opaque lenses. The effect is quite similiar.

Material: Polymacon 62%, water 38%
Options: Trueviolet, Evergreen, Sky Blue, Honey, Ocean Blue, Deep Grey, Chestnut
Diameter: 14.5
Base Curve: Median
Center Thickness (mm): 0.08 @ -3.00
Powers (D): +4.00 to -6.00 in 0.25D steps
$29.99 USD per lens (not sure if these come in torics)

PS> They have a sale right now on a few lenses if you order one, you get the other for free.

YOUR WELCOME!

Default Order Placed

I did order the ColorMax lenses they carry. They should arrive in 4 weeks. I will let you know how they fit.

I did confirm with Marietta Optometry that they have a 30 warranty & will re-fit them if I do not like them. I live in a few cities away, so I can go to their office until I'm satisfied if they jerk me around.

Again, I will post an update reviewing my purchase. BTW, my cost was about $350 for the annual ColorMax toric lenses. I've never worn annuals before, so I don't know how that will work out either.

We look forward to hearing from you. Four weeks sounds like a long time to wait for contact lenses, though. I've never ordered them on line before, so maybe that's a reasonable wait time. What to the rest of you think?

They have such a large selection of opaque lenses with distinct looks and effects.....So i am curious to why this individual chose color max as opposed to the more natural Europa opaques?

I'm looking for colored torics too, except I don't want opaque.I tried on some Freshlook opaque colored lenses for toric and they did absolutely nothing for my eyes (at least the green didn't) my eyes are naturally green and the green looked exactly the same, guess I should've anticipated that though, the blue did a slight color change not very noticeable difference from a far but close up there was a difference it just made my eyes darker, just dark blue but that's the opposite of what i want I want lighter eyes but they don't have enhancers in toric lens, and even if any companies did they all discontinued them. My eye doctor said she'd do research, but for the meantime does anyone know if enhancing toric lens are even existent?

Back in the day when Cibavision had the Cibasoft enhancer tint in three intensities with or without a clear pupil it was popular but its now been discontinued.
But Alden optical based of of NYC has the tint technology but only ecp's can order their. Custom lenses.

Default Did you like the lenses?

How did you like the comfort of the Orion Colormax lenses? Is there anyone who has had a positive experience regarding the comfort?
