    Default Proclear Toric Contacts

I'm looking for people who have tried or now use Proclear Toric contact lenses. I've heard a lot of good things about them, so I'm surprised they don't have a subcategory for them here on Lens101.
Specifically, I hear that the Proclear Toric contact lenses have better oxygen transmission than most toric lenses, they are more comfortable with patients who have dry eyes and come in two base curves. That sounds pretty good to me. I don't wear toric contact lenses, but I have some friends who do and I think they'd like to know about these contacts. Thank you!

I have been wearing Proclear Multifocus Toric for about 8 months now and I can attest to the fact that they ARE very comfortable and allow good oxygen transfer.
The only drawback is they seem to be very touchy as far as being oriented correctly on your eye as to allow the bi-focal part of the contact to work.

Does that mean that they have a tendency to move around on your eyes? Do they rotate or slip vertically/horizontally?

That's my guess is that they must rotate or slip off the center of the eye but have been unable to confirm this with any other users...

Thanks for you reply, Burch1. Do you still wear Proclear Multifocal lenses? If so, have you sorted out that shifting issue?

No, I have stopped wearing Proclear Multifocus Toric lens as I could not get them to provide consistent clear vision for either distance or reading.

Unfortunately the availability of powers are even more limited with tori multifocals. Are rgp lenses an interest for you? They can be totally custom designed just for you.
