Default Can wearing UltraFlex 55 Contacts Affect an Eye Injury?

If you've accidentally poked yourself in the eye and the pain persists for more than a few minutes, you will most likely need attention from an eye doctor.
My question is this: I've heard that if you wear contact lenses, don't let anyone put an eye patch on you. Why not?

Perhaps they meant not to have a patch on while the lens is still in the eye. I imagine that you are asking for infection if air can't get to the eye as it normally would.
