I read a story about an unfortunate fellow who went out on the town and had a few too many. He (fortunately) got home safely and (unfortunately) fell asleep in his contacts.
The next morning, not only was he hung over, but he had contacts stuck in his eyes and he could still feel the previous night's smoky atmosphere in his suffering corneas. Even though UltraFlex 55 are okay to sleep in, it probably wouldn't be a good idea if you' been drinking. Does anyone else have any more horror stories to tell? |

I think I posted the story in another thread about someone putting a second pair of contacts in, but I'm not sure if that really happened or not.
And years ago I heard of someone who put their contacts in a water glass in a hotel room, and their roommate drank from the glass and swallowed them. ![]() |

So the moral of the story is, make sure you don't drink too much when you're wearing contacts, or make sure you take them out if you're planning on going on a bender.
The trouble is, it's hard to predict when you're going to drink too much, and it's hard to know how much is "too much." Let's be careful out there. |
